Looking at Our Opponents Health

It's a bit of a dirty subject but there are some injuries/suspensions that effect our early games.

Week 1 Seattle:

Cliff Avril is slowly coming back from Plantar Faschiitis. They expect him to start practicing next week but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Bruce Irvin is suspended for our week 1 game due to a failed drug test.

Chris Clemons is fighting to return from a meniscus tear in last year's playoffs. He is questionable for Week 1

Percy Harvin has a hip injury that will require surgery. He is out for Week 1.

Zach Miller has been dealing with a lingering foot injury and possible knee issue. The local media is speculating but Pete Carroll denies any problem.

Sidney Rice sought treatment for his knee in Switzerland. Any time a player goes overseas there is whispers of stem cell treatment. He is expected to be healthy but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Week 2 Buffalo:

Jairus Byrd is currently in a contract holdout.

Mario Williams has missed most of camp with a bizarre foot injury. The team claims he is healthy but he says he is not healthy. He's back in practice today but not full participation.

Stevie Johnson is hampered by a hamstring injury. He says he will miss most or all of preseason. He wants to fully heal before risking further injury.

Week 3 New York Giants:

Jason Pierre-Paul is the big story. He is recovering from a back injury and he is taking it very slow. In fact Jerry Reese wishes he would want to come back sooner.

Henry Hynoski is dealing with a knee issue but he's a JAG Fullback

Terelle Thomas is trying to become the second player to recover from three ACL injuries.

Hakeem Nicks is working is way back to healthy but it feels like he will be week to week all season.

Chris Snee is coming back from hip surgery and is expected to be good by the regular season.

---------------------

So there are a number of talented pass rushers that could be absent or sub 100% healthy for our early season match ups. Keeping in mind Jon Beason and Jon Stewart are not looking too good either.

I hope we could beat these teams without all the injuries. I know that Seattle game left a bad taste in our mouths, so i would love to punch them in the face. I just don't want Seahawk fans to say we didn't beat them at full strength. I also remember the Buffalo fans acting like they won the Superbowl at BoA a few years ago after the beat us. Last years Thursday night game was probably my lowest point as a Panthers fan, the walk of shame out of the stadium was brutal, I was lucky Carolinaboy1979 was there to stop me from shoving some 5'6" drunk giant fan up his buddy's A-hole.Time for pay back boys! :sword:

we weren't at full strength when they beat us last year. or when they beat us in the NFC CG a few years back. i'm sure they don't care, tho. all they cared about was the win.

i don't care what they say if they lose. they are going to come up with excuses regardless.

teams get hurt. we get hurt a lot. we haven't been this healthy for years. we've had record numbers on IR and teams have been benefitting from it the whole time and none of them cared that it might have been due to us being beat up. it's not going to bother me one bit to have an advantage over any team because they got hurt. the 'W' is all that matters.
