The scariest news out of camp...

Rivera said that Chris Scott is in the mix to start at right guard, but he needs to work on his conditioning...

Hell of a smokescreen...

Who? Smh

Problems protecting Cam is expected this season so there's no unexpected am I right?

fighting isn't an example of being a tough, physical defense...  but fights do happen in TC..  just like with the Ravens, which fight sounds worse?

and I actually think this is the closest the team has been in years.   I guess we'll see how it comes together on game day.

There has been a lot of individualism, but not in the form of fighting players.  The talk of individualism, to me, is more about the Ginn's, Hixon's, Mitchell's trying to establish a name for themselves that they belong on this team.  As well as the young CBs and WRs who are trying to prove they shouldn't be cut from the team...  I don't look at that the same as the locker room isn't thinking team first..

It has taken this long for the first fight to even happen.

I guess, but these players was here when Fox was here with a few additions. In 2013 how this is the closest is beyond me. Should already be close

@josephperson: "Small melee" disrupts #Panthers training camp.

http://t.co/sZrJlHh9Gf

Lol they are calling the fight a "Small Melee"...

The biggest scrum involved offensive tackle Byron Bell and defensive end Greg Hardy, who was then thrown to the ground by receiver Steve Smith.

lmao smitty is a beast 5'9 wide receiver throwing The Kraken to the ground...

Completely disagree.

The John Fox years had established veterans released in 2010 leaving Smitty (who many have always questioned his leadership ability, although I think he's really stepped up the last few years) and Gross.  Guys on the team before weren't exactly established leaders.

Cam is a new piece to the puzzle..  Beason hasn't seen the field for 2 or 3 years.  TD finally made it through his first year in a long time.  You can't effectively lead a team on the field if you are not on it.  That covers the defensive side alone, which Kuechly was great, but also a new addition.

All of these things easily explain why the team hasn't been that close the last 3 years or so and have been in transition.

Besides all of that, this team has shifted quite a bit of that old roster out of the door the past 3 years..  I've never heard the sense of urgency like I have this year which is why I think they are closer than they have been in years.

This fights means literally nothing to me at this point..  And Jacoby Jones still gets to break up fights in his own TC..

Graduation is only a few days away, and the recruits of Training Camp 2013 are salty. They are ready to eat their own guts and ask for seconds. The drill instructors are proud to see that we are growing beyond their control. The Panthers do not want robots. The Panthers want killers. The Panthers want to build indestructible men, men without fear.

I edited it to fit the theme and mood today.   :D
