Jacoby Jones opinion?  oh okay.  lol

if you think this team isn't focused after listening to this, then I don't know what to tell you..

poo happens in camp, always has and always will..  it's nothing like what you're trying to portray.

I'm just going off the tweets. I understand scuffles. Im talking that pile and Cam having to retain a player. That's going a little too far. I agree wholeheartedly with Rivera

But my issue with Rivera is he hasn't established a team feel at all since he's been here. The lack of control on ego's is what worries me. I don't look at the fights as us trying to establish being physical like the Seahawks or whatever Chuck said, I look at it as ego on O vs ego on D

If you watch Newton interview on Panthers.com he mentioned individualism vs being part of the team on his part and trying to improve on that and it's true

If this little training camp scuffle bothers you so much you can always leave here and switch to this

this is the most unified i have seen this team in a while.

chippiness is to be expected at this time in TC when it is hot and people are competing for jobs. They have no outlet other than other teammates. they are ready to play against other teams.

Things started when safety D.J. Campbell hit tight end Greg Olsen near the sideline, prompting Olsen to get up, fire the ball at Campbell and yell at him.

Safety Mike Mitchell and cornerback Josh Norman then took turns getting into it with receiver Brandon LaFell. The biggest scrum involved offensive tackle Byron Bell and defensive end Greg Hardy, who was then thrown to the ground by receiver Steve Smith.

Rivera on what he coined a small melee

“I think we're getting to the point where we can't wait to play against somebody else. It was disappointing that it lingered and it lasted as long as it did,” Rivera said.

“I'm not saying it was good, but it was good to see the guys have a little bit of attitude about things. But we do most certainly want to save those for Friday (against Chicago), and we don't want to do it against our own teammates.”

“The bottom-line thing we all have to understand is at the end of the day we need the best 53. We need a healthy 53,” Rivera said. “And we can't afford to have anybody that we really, truly need to get caught up in something like this.”

fighting isn't an example of being a tough, physical defense...  but fights do happen in TC..  just like with the Ravens, which fight sounds worse?

The first fight of training camp took place between Terrence Cody and Gino Gradkowski. Joe Flacco even got involved to pull people out of the scrum which prompted Terrell Suggs to get involved to make sure Flacco got out of there safely.

and I actually think this is the closest the team has been in years.   I guess we'll see how it comes together on game day.

There has been a lot of individualism, but not in the form of fighting players.  The talk of individualism, to me, is more about the Ginn's, Hixon's, Mitchell's trying to establish a name for themselves that they belong on this team.  As well as the young CBs and WRs who are trying to prove they shouldn't be cut from the team...  I don't look at that the same as the locker room isn't thinking team first..

It has taken this long for the first fight to even happen.

This exactly what I was just saying. You're the HC, you have control on how long it lingers and lasts.
