Anyone listen to Mac Attack on Wfnz?

mac is barely tolerable when he talks about the panthers, the rest of the time my ears bleed and brain cells die.

The only good show ever on WFNZ was prime time.

The best local sports radio show right now is the David Glenn show, he mainly focuses on the ACC but when he talks its actually news worthy and relevant because he's a journalist first and a radio host second and that makes a big difference.

and even then, DG makes my ears bleed....  between his annoying Top 5's and long winded analogies to the exhausting laughing through his interviews...

I like the Mac attack a lot actually. Definitely the best show. Brett Jensens voice drives me nuts...he con..stant...ly pau...ses when he talks. Garcia isn't terrible but on at the worst time for me. I also cannot stand Marc James but Taylor is prett good. Overall I listened to the afternoon show a lot more when it was packman. But the Mac attack is solid.

IMO his show is the best.  I freaking hate those tools Marc Jame and Taylor from the Drive.

I agree totally. Those guys are complete d-bags. They literally have nothing but negative expectations and negative things to say about the Panthers. If I recall they aren't even from Charlotte.

What really pisses me off is how they have the audacity to talk about guys on the team. Saying crap like Beason or Smitty aren't the same players or they can't do this or that. And then the next week they invite them on the show and kiss their ass.

Marc James acts like he knows everything. He's one of those ignorant "Cam is immature, therefore we don't win dur hurr hurr" types. And he'll literally say these things right next to a teammate (Steve Smith).

Like Marc James' weak ass is in the huddle with Smitty so he must no all about Cam too. Fugin jackass.

I listen to the Mac Attack every morning from Knoxville.  Our morning radio is just awful.  I was a radio personality for about six years, so when I got out of it, I was very picky about what I listened to.  Mac does an outstanding job of running an informative/entertaining show.

I have a question about the afternoon show, though.  I've listened to it a few times (I don't like it very much), but what is the deal with "The QCB"?  Who is this guy and why does he get a small designated amount of time on the show?

QCB used to be on prime time and he fit in perfect with them but now he's kinda awkward since mark packer left, it's not his fault that mark left so he's kinda stuck in no mans land and they won't fire him because he still does his job even though he through a off the chemistry of the show.

I was a broadcast communications major and always felt like mac always did maybe an hour of show prep even when he was on in the afternoon it felt like he could make the show a lot better if he had just chose to put more effort in on his part and relied less on caller feed back, I'm not a big fan of shows that rely heavily on caller feedback and that's maybe why I don't like Mac that much.

last year Cam had and showed serious maturity issues last year but that's not why we weren't in the playoffs, that was because of the secondary but its sexier to slam a QB and pretend he's the reason we lost games like Atlanta

I understand why people can't stand Marc James on The Drive but I never understood the hate for Taylor. It's almost like he is guilty by association. Both are actually very knowledgable all across the sports specturm and it's a shame that Marc's pompous ass attitude overshadows that.

Also, the couple days a week that Steve Smith co-hosts the show with them is great radio and if you aren't listening when he is on there, you are doing yourself a disservice.  I have admittedly never been a big Steve Smith fan but listening to him a couple days a week as brought me around on that a bit. The candid insight Steve brings to not only the Panthers but life in the NFL in general far outweighs having to put up with Marc James' mouth. In fact it's nice having Steve on there because he usually puts him in his place.

I look forward to hearing Steve much more on the radio once he hangs up the cleats because he defintely has a future in it if he chooses to do so and it seems like that is the path he is headed down. A local radio show hosted by Mushin Muhammad and Steve Smith together would do wonders for local radio here if they could ever put that together because they are both great at it. .

It's pretty bad that his show might be the best. He annoys me immensely but nowhere near the level of the evening show. simply because of that guy with the fake name I can't remember now.

I miss the previous morning show and each consecutively older version of the morning show more as you go back in time.

the good ole days of wfnc are long gone, best morning show by miles was Garry Williams, Selania and TC.  The Whackattack used to come on after that, thats when I would change the channel, surprised he still has a job there to be honest.

and before that they had another guy with Gary Williams and it was even better....before that was Czaeban and Penner I believe and I barely heard that one but people reminisced about them once upon a time as well.
