How quickly will we see Kenjon Barner on Friday?

I think Deangelo will probably be seen on the 1st or 2nd series only, then Barner for the rest of the 1st qtr, then let Smith and Poole play the rest of the game.

you are forgetting about Tolbert

He think he'll coming in with Anderson. Assumption is that the first team will be playing 1 or 2 series max. I think if they can score a TD in the first series, they'll call it a day. Barner and Anderson could be playing the first half. Clausen, Cameron, Poole and Smith will be splitting the third and fourth quarter.

To me, it all comes down to how well the ones play. If they move the ball and look good, he may get a run or two, and even a 3rd and long play if it comes up. If the ones struggle, he may not get many plays with them. Although I personally believe they should be able to move the ball. Get in a really good series, then be done. So his opportunities with the ones may be limited.

I expect him to get the majority of his playing time with DA through the first half. Trying to put him into certain situations to see how he performs. Trying to get him specific looks without putting too much pressure on him. This is after all his first game. Let him get his feet wet this week. See what he can do. Then work him in as the preseason progresses.

But hellz, I could be all wrong. He could get plenty of plays throughout the first half. Giving him lots of opportunities to show what he can do. After all, he appears to have what it takes to be productive. Might as well let him show it.

Call me pessimistic but I think he might be mediocre in the begining of his career. He reminds me of CJ Spiller, Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles, and Dexter McCluster. All of those guys started pretty slow because being fast wasn't enough. They had to learn the position because they relied too much on their talent in college. I love Barner but that is just something I've been mulling over in my head.
