8-5-13 Training Camp

Why are we refusing to add offensive line players when it's clearly such a weakness?

We're scrambling just to have enough bodies there, much less a full 5 starter set we're fully confident in.

At this point that's probably THE question that needs to be answered. RR said they're comfortable with Williams in at RG and weren't looking to add anyone like Wharton or Moore.

So to a degree you want to trust them, their perspective and knowledge of the team. But to the outside observer it's a glaring need that just seems to be going unaddressed.

Gotta save our pennies for a rainy day.

It's not even just this. It's more than the apparent deeply rooted hope that Garry Williams is some rare breed of talent who will save the right side of our line. It's more than hoping Byron Bell will improve enough to be formidable.

It's also relying on last year's beloved UDFA Jeff Byers to be able to learn and capably back up three positions along with a slew of practice guys who have no business on an NFL roster.

We've salvaged some financial space this year. Now use it to give the OL, and henceforth, the offense, and the team, a chance this year.
