Am I the only person worried about Amini Silatolu?

Get what you're wanting to say, but are you really more worried about Kalil and Gross than Silatolu?

honestly yes. Kalil from the injury, and Gross because of his age and decline. I think both will be fine though.

I have studied amini more than anybody from last year. It was night and day how he progressed. Second level, absolute monster. He was able to just play instead of think. physical tools are off the charts, it was mental in the first half of the season.

Him coming back to camp fit as can be, stronger and hearing the vets praise him makes him the least worrisome on the line to me.

No more concerned about Amini than reinjury to Kalil or old age finishing Gross off.  I'd describe his performance and progression last year not as atrocious to bad, but bad to decent.  Similar progress through this offseason leading up to the regular season would put him at good, and I don't think it's unreasonable or homerish to expect that.

On a side note, every time I read Amini or Armanti's name in print I have to double check to make sure I know who we're talking about.

Wouldn't say I agree with you, but I can respect the argument you're making.

i'm just really hoping him and kug can be the interior for Cam's future so we can focus on LT, RT and offensive weapons in the next couple of years via FA and the draft.

I think Amini is going to be something special.

Amini made rookie mistakes, but he also flashed a lot more than Bell and Williams. Gross is still solid, and there was an article I read years back about how the most damning injury to a football team's season is the center. I'm lazy otherwise I'd go look it up again :P

My fingers are crossed that KugZilla flashes as well so that the team can focus on the OTs next.

I see all the complaints about Garry Williams on here as of late. However I don't see the same concern about Amini. I mean he improved but he went from atrocious to just bad. I'm probably missing something so can someone fill me in on why there isn't just as much concern for Amini as Gary Williams?

Atrocious??? That's a strong adjective there. Watch the games instead of trailing off of incorrect rants. Amini went from bad to "okay rookie". I'm happy with that. Just please don't start fires saying "atrocious"

Atrocious may be a little strong. Lets just say really bad.  Saying I didn't watch the game and it's an incorrect rant makes me question if you actually watched the games.  If you didn't see the "really bad " play at the beginning of the year then you are either blind or Tongan. That being said I found an interesting article that makes me feel a little better.

I'm currently queuing up week 10 and gonna try to be more objective and less OMG he sucks.  Sometimes it's easy to form an early opinion of someone and miss stuff.   Going by the comments it seems like you guys noticed a huge improvement.

you raise a valid argument and I hope the reports I've read turn out to stay true..  Kalil is coming off an injury, but more questionable is Gross landing on his feet this year...

Amini sure sounds like his size/strength have proven worthy thus far..  Can't say for sure until we watch a few preseason games and the start of the greatest 5 months of America's pastime..

quietly I've come to the same conclusion that Amini seems to be a more sure bet..  I've said the same about more questionable talents..  one that is now a fan favorite..
