Officials met w media in Spartanburg to discuss rule changes and pts of emphasis. Among pts of emphasis ...taunting, to include ball spins.

Steve Smith, among others, will be flagged for taunting if he spins ball at or in the vicinity of opponents.

 

Smitty won't be able to do his signature spin after each catch now.

This is true! Look what happened to NASCAR. It exploded in the 90's, then they started changing the rules and they damn near killed it!

The NFL is the hottest thing going right now, if they start taking away from what got them to the top, they will fall just like the rest have. MLB was big... it fell (granted it was mostly because of drugs). NBA got big in the late 80's & early 90's... it fell. I don't know what the next "big time" sport will be, but the NFL is putting itself out of business if you ask me!
