The video was lame and I wasn't big on the beat but the lyrics were mostly on point. The kids got talent. I don't know about the "changing the rap game" though.

An hour before I was to depart to Milwaukee, I pulled out my IPhone and took the matter at hand to the internet. I tweeted the Carolina Panthers official Twitter handle and asked them what was going on with the fight song and if it would be possible to bring it back this year? To my surprise, I received a response. The Panthers promotional team told me they had been grappling with this issue for a while, and were in the process of deciding whether or not to bring back the song and trying to figure out at what times it would be played. The Panthers then took to twitter to ask the general public what they thought of my inquiry. Panther fans from all around responded with various answers, naturally ranging from “The song sucks”, to “Yeah, what did happen to the song, it was pretty catchy”.

There was some kind of ownership/copyright issue with the original song from 1995 that resulted in it being yanked off the stadium PA system after a few years if memory serves...

 

...regardless, when I moved from SoCal and my Raiders seats in Los Angeles to NC and got my PSL and this is what I heard, I will honestly say I was utterly embarrassed when this song came on. Sounds like a D-3 college fight song. Better yet, a prep school fight song.

Can't go wrong with the Queen City Rydaz - i think that is who did the "bringing the pain" rap song. I wish they'd play that over the PA.

They tried to make a 50's/60's fight song like Fly Eagles Fly (equally goofy) but in the 90's.
