He is the best entertainment composer of all time period.

 

His credentials include the theme music for Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Superman (Christopher Reeves movies), and E.T.

 

That is just about every classic movie that can be distinguished simply by hearing the theme music.

 

He was also the composer of the famous Olympics theme music.

Whenever we have a 1PM game on Sundays, the alarm on my phone is the NFL on FOX theme. That should answer your question.

 

It makes me so mad that FOX is using it for all of their sports now... how stupid is that? You hear that music and you think of football. Not baseball, soccer, or NASCAR.

 

I watched the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final last weekend, and I was shocked to find that Fox used the same theme music for that game as they do for the NFL. Maybe I say this because I've only ever heard that theme before football games, but I really think that theme only works for the NFL.

Even though I am working during MNF and never hear the intro, I just have to vote for it. I grew up with that tune so I can't forsake it now.  But being that the Panthers have been on Fox, mostly, around these parts, I can't help but listen and smile.
