Please don't make me cum! Finally a red zone target. Get him the "jump ball" like Ryan to Gonzo, Brady to Gronk or Brees to Graham and we are golden!

And he supposedly has a 36" vertical. And I'm sure long arms, to go along with those big Guns/Pythons (to ward defenders away, while reaching for the ball), and big mitts to catch it with!!

I'm not saying Cam should be able to just ignore his problems and expect outside factors to mask it.  I'm saying that if we had been getting normal to bigger sized WRs, his high throws wouldn't be as big of a problem.  Of course Cam should still be working on his footwork and followthrough.  In addition to that, I'd prefer a WR corps that has an average of taller than 5'10.  I'm not even saying I expect a WR corps of 6'3 and taller.  Average (6'1) guys would be acceptable and would help with Cam's overthrows.  I was saying "taller" receivers.  As in taller than our midget corps.

For example, Lafell isn't a giant, he's just barely above average at 6'2 if I recall correctly.  And his ability to elevate lead to the longest TD pass in team history.  And the pass was, admittedly, probably overthrown.  Some will look at it as "Cam just put it where only the WR could get it!  Yea, what an awesome pass!"  but truly it was probably a bit overthrown and that's why Lafell was able to take it to the house.

A large portion of Cam's interceptions have been passes that were overthrown and Smitty couldn't get up to get them or some lazy asshat like Legadoodoo can't high point a ball and sometimes didn't even try and a safety playing behind was able to catch it.

Though I am not one to freak out, after/over the 5th practice, and I won't! You bring up some good points.

I do agree with your general premise, that if Cam had bigger receivers to throw to on a regular basis, it would help him immeasurably. This is especially true in the redzone. This is also why Shockey, was missed so much in 2012.

Steve Smith, is just not a big target (especially in the Redzone), and Cam's throws need perfect timing, or a spectacular catch by Smith if they're high, downfield, between or over defenders.

Now of course, Cam will/should get better with his touch throws and accuracy. And the OC and OL need to get much better in 2013 (and I hope it does), and have a lot to do with this for Cam to succeed.

But your point is well taken, indeed.

I'm not questioning his accuracy or passes. I'm just worried about the little stuffs like I said: form, follow through and throwing off the right foot. Seen too many times where he gotten lucky by his natural abilities. Too many times he gotten by that throwing off the wrong foot. Those are little things that Cam has to improve on. Those are things that even a guy like Peyton Manning still find ways to improve at. Those are things that make a Peyton Manning a Peyton Manning, a Drew Brees a Drew Brees, Tom Brady a Tom Brady, etc.

And I wouldn't start arguing accuracy with "taller" receivers. That's sort of a ridiculous statement. There's no such things as good/bad accuracy with "midget"/giant receivers. Look at Seattle; short QB + short WRs.

Ehhhhhh if your talking about his running ability then yes I agree, but when Cam is forced to throw off his back foot (usually due to having no room to step up) he looks incredibly uncomfortable.  He never tries to play like an RG3, Vick, Favre or Doug Flutie where he scrambles around a bit and looks to whip out an ugly (and risky) dump off pass.  He only does things like that in a last ditch effort, while his throwing motion naturally suggests he's better suited to be a pocket passer.

Believe it or not Cam's tendency to sail passes high in most cases is beneficial.  He's not perfectly on point yet, and most quarterbacks never get to that Drew Brees level of accuracy.  Since his one issue (sailing passes) is consistent, it means it's coachable.  He's not all over the place suggesting it's a mild and correctable mechanical issue, rather than being just downright inaccurate.

In most scenarios, overthrowing (the exception being passes over the middle with deep safeties) is significantly better than underthrowing or just being plain off target.  Due to the nature of the DB position, they are generally still moving to get in position to make a play on the ball after the ball has been thrown, this makes it difficult to maximize their leaping potential, thus making the receiver the only guy on the field who has a remote chance of catching the ball.  When underthrowing the DB just has to stick their mits out or make a dive toward the ground which is MUCH easier than leaping after a sharp cut.
