7/30 camp thread

Recommended Posts

Everyone is talking about the O-line, rightfully so, but I did zero in on the fact that our receiving corps seems to be what many of us thought they were.  Like I have harped on for years now: we are but one Smitty injury away from seeming disaster.

At 3pm today, we need to come on one accord, face the sun, kneel down in prayer and pray that Smitty gets through the season without injury... :P

I am thinking that it will be easier to fix the line, even if we don't do anything but get Wharton, but WTF are we gonna do at receiver? Hopefully Adams, Bersin or whoever can have a great showing with the first team.  I still don't believe it will be enough though.  With Zod's remarks about every TE not named Olsen being basicaly nondescript, we could always gamble the vet minimum on Kellen Winslow

I am trying not to go all Chicken Little, but it makes me nervous hearing tweets that belie my greatest fear.

If your talking about Kellen Winslow Jr he signed with the Jets a couple months back .

I'm not worried about Cam. Key players on offensive line taking a break, Smitty out, 5 or so practices in, day before an off day, etc.

All the essential elements for an off day. Plus there were conflicting reports out there which leads me to believe he had a decent throwing day but made some bad decisions.

He has had a good camp up until today so I'm not overly concerned about one bad practice.

Thanks for letting me know. I missed that one.  Just another obvious option off the table.

Our passing game is worrying me. Nothing like Smitty taking the day off and a few tweets about how we will be basically lost without him to sober a Panthers fan up in regards to our receiving corps.

i guess abortion is okay as long as it is used in jokes for the far right pro-lifers

And in addition to that, I guess thread goofing is okay to madhatter as long as he's the one doing it.

Where's roving camp thread canary Mr. Scot to complain about this?

Speaking of waking up from pipedreams, the legend of Gettis is slowly morphing ino the myth of Gettis.

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.  Probably bad on the field (in light of today's reports), but it should make the Huddle a little more realistic.

I didn't read any tweets that said anything bad about the offensive lineman.

I'm reading fans saying how displeased they are with the offensive linemen. Guess it's the thing to gripe about this season.

Everybody is also raving about our dline.

Ya can't constantly diss the oline and give the dline props.

I'm sure our dline is shiwing better than it would normally due to backups playing 2/3rds of the oline.

While the right hand side of the oline isn't as strong as I'd like it, the Panthers have had no real opportunities to upgrade it.

There us no one available that can upgrade our line.

Moore is looking for the right situation.

We're not it.

Best get use to the fact we're going forward with what we have, unless injury forces our hand.
