There's a theory held by some that the custom face masks worn by pass rushers intimidate the offensive line and the blockers.

I also hold that belief.

I don't know about custom face paint for Hardy. But I do believe there should be a signaturized "Huddlers Salute", he should give every once in a while during games. Say like, after he puts Ryan 6 inches into the turf! Or, when he finally knocks that hideously disfigured poopmole off brees's neck!

Triangles are actually the strongest geometric pattern as far as engineering is concerned, but you're probably right in this instance. There would probably have to be another horizontal cross section going across the middle.

Well the NFL has put the kibosh on customized face masks . 

 

Never thought that I'd see a day when the NHL, at least in a way, has something over the NFL.

If you have a doctors note (I know it sounds like middle school) then you will more than likely be given permission to wear a custom face mask.

Both Chris Canty and Justin Tuck received permission from the NFL to wear custom face masks due to doctors notes based on previous injury history.
