for the 4 seconds i cared what that ranting guy was rambling about and trying and failing  to interpret any coherent thought processes i was wondering who this chicken little was he was talking about.

of course those few seconds have come and gone so....back to today. smith, lafell, ginn, armanti, and adams seemed to do well, right? and hixon even managed for a moment to not look bad. so safe to say that those guys are the WR corps who make the 53, right? or at least they have the lead among the pack. for those who were there, is that about right?

If he was showing his potential, he'd get on the field. simple as that. And there's a reason he didn't get much PT. What that reason is, is anyones guess. And your points about Legs and Murph. Legs was brought in becsuse he knew the system, while LaFell and Gettis were struggling in practice that season. When LaFell caught on he moved ahead of Legs. As far as Murphy went. He was a big fast WR who showed promise early in his career and he had a cheap price tag. On top of that we didn't have much outside Smitty and LaFell.

It's not as simple as that.  Your viewpoint is dependant on faith that Rivera's decisions on the matter are infallible.  I contend that Rivera has yet to show any level of competence in deciding which WRs to play.

Last  year Adams had, to the best of my recollection, 2 targets.  Both times he caught the ball and got solid positive yards.  I don't recall Pilares dropping many passes and when he was thrown the ball he made something happen usually.  Even freaking Armanti "CFL" Edwards made one big play and a couple little plays last year and didn't show the kind of pathetic hands that Legadu and Murphy showed.

I don't care if Legadu knew the playbook and the other guys didn't.  If he can't catch the damn football, he shouldn't be getting snaps much less starting.  Sure, bring him in, give him a roster spot as a player-positional consultant, but after the first few games when he proved he can't catch he shouldn't have been playing.  I'd much rather have had a guy that was still learning the playbook run the occasional wrong route, but still catch passes that are thrown to him than a guy run the right route every time but every other ball thrown to him gets alligator armed or tipped up for the opposing team to intercept.

I was all for the Murphy acquisition, I thought he had good potential.  But he, just like Legadu the previous year, proved very quick that he can't catch worth a poo.  Even if we didn't have much outside of Smitty and Lafell, Murphy was part of that "not much".  I'd much rather Pilares, Adams, and Gettis getting those snaps and targets because they might have actually done something with them.. in addition to being invaluable game time experience for them.

Youre a self admitted troll and you love to bash other people when they dont follow your own internet posting morals. I told you I wouldnt engage you anymore and we're both fine by that right?

Good, just save your bullshit for some other forum.

I just have always had this feeling that your some sort of reporter here in disguise. You think in the same terms and put value on things the same way. Im not sure how else to explain it. I think you intentionally do things to your writing to make it blend sometimes.

You also rarely admit to being wrong or crediting where its due. You dont deny, I'll give you that.

damn you for selling me into Jarrett as well.

I do tend to agree with Darin Gantt on most of his views about us....people gave him poo but he had a great unbiased take IMO.

Jarrett still bothers me....such a waste. I thought he could of been special.

Congrats T48.  Awesome photos and lots of awesome stuff.  Wish I had a poster like that sitting in my living room.

Thanks man! Last year I gave a local store manager $20 bucks for it. It also came with  a mini carpet football field.

Here is the reality of the situation; imagine you are Gettlemen:

Your OL is the weakest link and you have a franchise qb and vow to run the ball more effectively.

Your other biggest concern, arguably SS, seems to have an answer; Mitchell and Campbell are impressing the coach.

You had players take pay cuts and everyone knows there is $13 million in cap room.

Gettlemen is waiting for the right move.  I think, especially considering the reps Kugbila is missing, that we make a move for a RG.

Well thought out post my friend.

Being overseas these tweets and comments are all I get.  It is painfully obvious our OL is not preforming as I had hoped.

The question is do you grab a guy like Moore or wait for a player that didn't make someone elses squad.  Seems the latter would be going from the frying pan into the fire.
