7-28 Camp Thread

He had a knee injury before the hamstring injury. He was hurt for the entire portion of mini-camp.

And Steve Smith broke his arm playing with randoms.

We all saw how Jon Beason tore his achilles.

Non-contact injuries and injuries in general happen.  To write off Kugbila because of some early ding ups is ridiculous.  You act like getting injured in practice isn't something that doesn't happen around the league.  Have you followed the news?  Maclin, Pitta, both out for the season and both darn good players and you might as well rule Harvin out.  There will probably be another star player getting hurt today.  It happens.  Kugbila, however, unlike those guys only has a pulled hamstring.  It happens.

Lets just say it is a good thing Cam is elusive because the right side of our line would have a hard time serving as backups on other teams

I hope when the season nears and teams start cutting expensive old vets in favor of youth we at least rent a legit lineman for a year to start....

Letting the OL be that weak on the right for 13 is playing with fire....they already probably used there luck out last year. More conservative O also IMO will also limit some of Cam helping the OL out

Few players are as tough as Steve Smith... so there's that.

And I wouldn't exactly say Steve Smith has had an injury filled career.

All I'm saying is, he seems to be injury prone. I mean come on, two injuries in the span of a month...

Neither of which are serious.......

It's fuging preseason, he could have played through both injuries during the season. The knee was just a strain and the hammy was a minor tweak, it's just precautionary. When you weigh 330lbs you sit out when you have any leg pain in meaningless practices. Get a fuging grip.

I still chuckle at how easy people think it is to slide a guy around the OL, not realizing it's a completely different position with different requirements...and at the highest level in the sport.

When we moved him in to play guard last year for a game, he did not perform as bAd as everyone claims. These guys are athletes.

Lol need a tamp.

I wouldn't exactly call any knee injury "minor".

Did the huddle really almost break because of people trying to tell others not to over react to Kugbilla? D2 guys dont condition like D1 guys and D1 guys havnt ever conditioned like pros. . . so, figure that Kugbilla is gonna get injured often early. This is exactly what I was trying to explain the other day and low and behold he comes up lil nicked in the first practice. Amini was much more NFL ready than Kugbilla.
