I think he's saying Barner could be better than Austin.  Which could happen, Austin was one of the most over-hyped, over-drafted players in the draft this year.

Ah. Thank you for clearing that up for me. That could well end up being true. I was one of the folks who wouldn't have minded drafting Austin, but of course I'm happy we took Star instead.

I'd just like to quote this to say how wrong it is. Hamstrings can linger for a whole season. Especially someone who is 320lbs and plays a position where the hamstring is vital. Also bone heals quicker than muscle.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kugbila end up on IR

I wasn't intending to knock how crucial a hamstring injury is.  But it is a common, relatively minor injury is my point.  While it can linger, it isn't like something that in the long term (ie. next season or the year after that or so on and so forth) is going to detriment your athletic ability.

Gaydosh is another one of those guys that the Huddle over-hypes....happens every year.

with Short, Star, Cole, Edwards, Kearse, and Fua (yes even Fua....coaches still talk about him).  Gaydosh is likely the 7-8 DT in the pecking order.

I see a PS position as a possibility.  But, basically zero chance of making the 53 man roster.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
