The other guy I want to mention is Colin Cole... saw him taking on 2 blockers on several occasions and hold his ground, definite space eater.

 

Music to my ears. I really have high hopes for our DT rotation.

Looks like the problems we had last year are still here. Nortman and Gano suck. Byron Bell should be a backup and not starting. Same for Hangartner. I hope we sign at least 2 more guys for the OL because right now it is pathetic.

 

I'm not worried about Naka still stinking it up. He won't make the roster.

 

Good to hear Ginn is stepping it up at WR.

 

Also lol @ Godfrey for getting on Norman for missing a tackle.

I'm being serious. I must be missing something. Said Barner might be a poor man's Tavon Austin because we clearly selected Barner later than the Rams took Austin, but they are similar players.

Hey Catman is Norman making any progress as a future starting CB? Because I had high hopes and it sounds like he may still be making the same kind of mistakes.

I don't remember Norman doing anything special, other than getting burned by Barner.

I think Gettleman already knows the weaknesses and I think he knows how to work the waiver wire prior to the season if there is someone there who is an upgrade.

 

I have faith in him when it comes to personnel.

 

He's made a pretty good living doing it and already has started to clean up the mess Hurney left behind.

 

Let's have a little hope that we will be competitive and our GM who comes from a winning organization can get some holes filed when other teams make their final cuts.

Beason completely tore his Achilles while running after a slow tight end in Arizona. No contact. Fluke injury.

Sh!t happens. I wouldn't write off these guys because its day 3 of camp.

 

The way I remember it Beason's achillles was already injured before the AZ game, and he tore it in the AZ game because he was playing hurt.

I think he's saying Barner could be better than Austin.  Which could happen, Austin was one of the most over-hyped, over-drafted players in the draft this year.
