Ginn has been notorious for being a camp star. Maybe his third team will be the charm?

Star is going to be solid but not great this year I bet, damns glad to hear bout Amini whipping that ass, will make Star better faster

Lol, we'll see when the MRI comes back.

Just to get my 2cents in. Kugzilla did not miss ALL of Otas nor Mini Camp. He actually got to run with the ones several times. If you are going to dog someone, at least get the facts correct. He may have missed more time than he practiced. But he did practice.

IMO, part of his problem stems from the fact that he was trying too hard to catch up in regards to conditioning and strength training. He overextended himself in an effort to prove himself. Admirable to be sure. But it appears it may have backfired.

That said. It is way too damm early to call him injury prone.

I'm also super excited about Amini. I'm hoping that his progression will allow Gross to focus on his own game. There were times last year that Gross was covering for Amini last year, but I don't see that happening this year.

I attended practice this morning, here are my observations:

  • Guys were wearing pads today but it was not full contact.
  • Rough day for Smitty, dropped quite a few passes that were in his hands.
  • Ginn made an incredible Willie Mays style catch in the end zone on a long bomb from Cam, had a few more nice catches and one drop when he was wide open.
  • Barner showed off his speed today, beat the defense to the edge on stretch plays a few times and outran pursuing defenders.
  • Getting back to Ginn, he caught a short pass and put a move on Josh Norman that left him grabbing air.
  • Godfrey was hitting a little, gave Hixon a little helmet to helmet shot that forced him to drop a pass and then waved his finger towards the crowd like Mutombo (no-no).
  • DeAngelo broke through a Josh Norman attempted tackle (was not full contact) and Godfrey yelled "Put your pads on him 2-4".
  • Cam threw a bomb to Gettis with Norman covering him and at the last moment Norman dove to break up the pass and came down on top of Gettis. Gettis rolled around the field for a min in obvious pain (suspect he got the wind knocked out of him) and then got up, but had to drop to a knee a moment later and be helped of the field (on his feet).
  • Cam threw some really nice balls today, was very accurate - I didn't see any of the overthrows I heard he was making yesterday.
  • Lotulelei looks tired, still adjusting to the pace and the heat I assume.
  • Barner has a knack for finding a spot underneath and turning up field quickly when the ball is thrown to him.

Doing this from memory, so I'll quote this post and provide more information if anything else comes back to me.

Why is everyone still waiting for tweets? Practice is over and has been over for a while. If you don't want to discuss camp then don't come in the thread.

The butthurt on the huddle is phenomenal.

Not according to Joe Person!

Joe person @josephperson

Practice starting to kick off live right now. Yesterday was a little bit of a drag with the rain and no phencyclidine to enjoy hallucinating in it

In your opinion who was the MVP of the day?
