The OFFICIAL Breaking Bad Final 8 Thread (with teaser trailer)

Yeah that's not happening. Gillagan has said multiple times the ending ties up all loose ends. Your prediction doesn't answer what happens to Lydia or Saul and just leaves a very empty ending because if things are just staying the same then why is the show ending? Makes no sense.

Huh...

I see everything as tied up with that.

Saul is done and over at this point.  He is off to a new life.

Lydia's story has completion because of the way she arrived in the overall arc.  She was/is like Huell is as much as she is more color to the story than an compelling side plot that must be addressed.  She does little more than serve as a motivator for Todd.  She is off Walt's radar for sure.

And I for one like the idea that Walt gets what he has always wanted but cant enjoy it because getting it cost him everything he loved.

But of course that's just my opinion...

For whatever reason, I still think Walt "saves" Jesse. Possibly my own wishful thinking, but I still have hope that Jesse lives, possibly with Walt sacrificing himself to save Jesse/Brock.

I also like the idea of the Skylar and the kids with the barrels and the van coming to pick them up, but I can't see Walt Jr. being down with that after the phone call. Not to mention the family is being watched by police.

I've been wanting Walt to live somehow...but it's not happening. Gilligan's pitch for the show was to turn Mr. Chips into Scarface...Walt is going out the same way Tony Montana did, big gun blazing.

BTW, I don't think Vince Gilligan will (or should) feel as obligated to wrap up Saul if he's planning on making his spinoff a sequel.  Which would sort of make sense now.

I thought it was going to be a prequel, but I could definitely be wrong.

That was what was rumored, but I think the main reason for that thinking was depending on what happened with Saul.  As long as he's alive and well there's really no reason to make it a prequel.  But I don't think we officially know.

I did see Anna Gunn in a red carpet interview allude to the possibility of Skylar being involved in some way.
