The mistake that will come back to haunt us MKG over Barnes?

YOLO!

Barnes will give you 20 pts, but he'll give up 25-30.  Barnes has a terrific foundation to build on though, and if he works hard and luck is on his side, he'll be a fantastic pro, but give me the guy with Scottie Pippen potential over the guy with Paul Pierce potential any day of the week, and twice on Sunday!

People act like Barnes cant play defense

Exactly.

They want to ignore that Barnes isn't a bad defender just to credit MKG's strength on defense. Like I said I rather have Barnes offensive potential over MKG defensive potential. The NBA today offense is more important than defense. It's not like MKG is going to stop Lebron/Durant/Melo anytime soon.

Show me where Barnes give up 25-30 ppg.

Im sure if you asked MKG himself, he would be smart enough to not say his potential is Pippen. I really dont see the Pippen comparison except some guys before the draft last year saying so. Its as ridiculous as some who were saying Oladipo draw some MJ comparison.

Yeah if MKG has Scottie Pippen potential he better get in the gym and start working on his offense and ball handling. Pippen was a pointfoward, I don't think MKG has that type of potential on offense.

Let me guess you made the Pippen comparison because of defense?

But you forgot Pippen was a pointfoward on offense.

I'm convinced carolina-chuck is the only person in this thread other than myself who knows the game of basketball. Any non Bobcat fan would tell you Barnes is better than MKG right now. Quit being homers and face reality.

I think you both know the same amount of basketball...I support this statement..

Just watch, my man.

The kid's only 20, just keep watching the show.

I'll say, Barnes had a better rookie season, but with MKG, it's the long term potential, now if he doesn't progress, this is all for nothing.

Spare your history lessons tho, fam.  I've played the game for 20 years, coached for 5, played at every level except NBA, and that's due to injuries I sustained in combat.  It's not much you going to teach me.

I never said I know basketball. If I did, I wouldn't be here debating with some guys over the computer named Ninja or CoolCatLuke. I would be getting paid to argue with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.

I'll tell you fellas what i'll do, i'll be purchasing some tickets this year, and for the few of us that actually chat about basketball, i'll get your contact info, we'll all go out to a game, on me, and we can have our debates at the games, it's much better for me, I hate technology, I love chatting with yall, but the screen gives me migraines, due to my time in combat, I just can't deal with them anymore, so ill say this, ill keep you guys posted, and we'll correspond, we'll catch a game, and have a blast.

I feel like, with MKG, now, we'll get a better idea of who he will be, with a decent coaching staff, we'll see a lot more from him, that jumper comes around, watch out.

I agree that MKG will benefit with the addition of Mark Price, well at least I "hope" so. But lets not go over board. MKG has an ugly form, hitch, and motion with his release. It's not going to reconstruct over night. I wanted to puke seeing guys talking about how MKG already looked "better" after like 1 day of working with Price. It's going to take some time and the best we can hope for this new season is to see a little bit of changes. MKG is still going to get majority of his point scoring off the board and in the paint, not from shooting. If this developing process go well like what every fans hoped for, MKG will put it all together next year in his 3rd season.
