Charlotte And Henderson Agree To Contract

Recommended Posts

He's a very good 2 guard with one of the best mid range shots in the NBA. He can create off the dribble, plays great defense and is a team player. If his 3pt shot gets more reliable then he's a top 10 NBA SG, there's not that many good ones left in the NBA.    His situation is in no way shape or form anything close to Thabo, Shumpert, Manu or Williams. He's better then those players (Manu used to be really good), he's not a 6th man.    Your way undervaluing his play and skill set. Even with the slow start he was still 11th in scoring among 2 guards and was top ten in most of the other stats. If you go off his second half, he was playing like a top 5 NBA SG with out getting the same amount of shots.

He averaged 3-5 shots fewer per game then the guys in the top 10 while averaging 2 points less per game (Minus Bryant, Harden, Wade) This is counting his first half.

If you go off his post All-Star game stats, he was 6th in scoring (with 2 less shots per game), 6th in FG%, 4th in overall scoring, 12th in rebounds, 12th in assists, 21st in steals, 7th in blocks,

Overall for the season, he shot better from the Field compared to J.R Smith, Eric Gordan, Klay Thompson, Derozen, Crawford, Joe Johnson.

Hendo and his situation haven't compared to anyone you've mentioned yet. Keep trying...if you like.

Yea, bc Im being realistic and not going out of my mind trying to say he's better than Smith, Gordon Thompson, etc. bc some stat say so. OMG

His play, skillset and stats all back up that claim. lol   I also wasn't using just one stat, I was using all of them. I can even use PER which is what ESPN uses for it's overall rankings.

Let's go.

He had a higher Per then Joe Johnson, Eric Gordan, Klay Thompson, DeMare DeRozen, O.J Mayo and his Per was comparable to JR Smith and Jamal Crawford.

So is ESPN a homer too? lmao

It's not my fault you don't know Basketball and that ESPN ranks him higher. It's not my fault you undervalue Hendo so much you refuse to see he was a top 10 NBA SG last season.

My prediction for Hendo this year.

Easily a top 10 sg in the game this year, easy.

If he get's the same amount of touches, don't be surprised if he avgs 20-24 ppg.

I've never understood why he's so undervalued.

He's improved every year, he goes to the rack aggressively, his mid-range game is butter, has a nice fade a way, watch out for him this year.

If you play fantasy, pick him up.

Im hoping Brandon Lafell and Gerald Henderson can both prove me wrong this upcoming seasons than just improving each year. I think it's time to make it or break it for the two of them. After this year, it they dont show they can live up to the big stages then it all becomes "just another guy''.

At some point people need to notice that Chuck can't read or can't understand numbers.

Every time you show this dude stats he either claims

1. Stats are fake.

2. Your a homer or unrealistic.

At this point I think he see numbers and this happens

Fair price for his production with us last season.  If he is as good as most of you believe then we will be renegotiating with him already next off-season.  I do believe that regardless of what happens with Hendo's career, good or bad... that SG will be a primary focus for us in next year's offseason whether through draft or free agency.  If we felt Hendo was the SG of our future, we would have locked him up for 3+ years.  This is a win/win contract for both sides & keeps Gerald here for the near future.

3 years, 6 mil per.  Ill take that for Hendo.  Thats a bargain for his talent.  So what do yall think the upside is of this roster?

Walker - Sessions

Henderson - Gordon

MKG - Taylor

Zeller - McRoberts

Jefferson - Biyombo - Haywood

Yeah I think we can make playoffs.  But who really knows.  It comes down to how well our couching staff is and injuries.  And also Cody Zeller.   If we add someone like Jamison that helps even more.  If Zeller comes out and mimics summer league (which I know, IS summer league) and drops 15-20 a game with 8-10 boards, I think we'll be a decent team.  With Jefferson demanding double teams we should be able to get Henderson and Zeller points.

We know what we will get from Kemba, Sessions, Hendo, Gordon, McBob, and Big Al. A lot of our success (or lack there of) will be attributed to the players surrounding those guys. It's going to depend on how well MKG, Taylor, Biz, and Zeller develops or how well they have developed during the off season. Personally I see a decent jump in production from at least MKG and Taylor, while I believe that Kemba and Hendo will have slightly better seasons. Having said all of that, if I had to bet money and make a prediction -- I would predict that we'll win around 30 games this season.
