About time we had a little luck on our side because we're due.  I'd love to say "let's beat em at their best", but screw that.  I want a win week 1.

amen.

win against less than complete team >>>> loss against full strength team.

i would say that this puts even more pressure to win on the panthers, tho.

at home. you really need to set a winning tone for your team and the fans early. a loss against a team missing several vital parts would be very demoralizing, but not significantly more so than a loss against a full strength team.

a win is a win is a win. i don't care if they are full strength or not.

one thing to also consider about that first game...seattle's next game is home against the 49ers. you tell me where their heads are going to be at.

I'm the same way.

I don't want anyone to get hurt, but injuries happen and if we get a break I'm not going to complain about it.

After looking at Seattle's depth chart, I think we can take them. Charles Johnson will have his hands full with Okung but Star is definitely going to command a double team from Carpenter and Unger. I predict a big game from Dwan Edwards, Kawann Short, and Greg Hardy because they will be going one-on-one all day. On top of that, Seattle's right side is weak with McQuistan and Giacomini. Also, if Zach Miller doesn't play; that's just another weapon that Wilson will be without.

As far as Seattle's defense, their best pass rusher will be out (Irvin) and will be replaced by Cliff Avril. Jordan Gross should be able to handle Avril. The key matchup will be Silatolu against Mebane. If Silatolu can keep Mebane at bay, then Kalil can focus on helping the weaker right side of our offensive line.

Regarding Seattle's linebackers, they are weak outside of Bobby Wagner. If our offensive line steps up then DeAngelo Williams and Kenjon Barner (or Jonathan Stewart) should be able to at least average four yards a carry. Also, since Seattle's linebackers are weak; Greg Olsen and even Brandon Williams should be able to capitalize and nickel and dime the Seahawks down the field.

The real matchup I like is Tedd Ginn vs. Seattle's secondary. Ginn know's Seattle secondary which is a bonus and I think we can utilize his speed against them. Seattle likes to jam receivers at the line but Ginn, Smith, and even LaFell are too quick to jam at the line so it should force them to play off the line of scrimmage. I think we might be able to control the game and nickel and dime Seattle down the field.

you omitted last season where he only played 8, but he did play in all 16 games in 2011

ya, thats why i said his "first" 57 games. He only missed 3 games in 3 years (2009-2011), then played in the first 9 of last year.

According to the Boston Globe’s Shalise Manza Young, during a drill on Saturday The Golden Calf of Bristol found himself struggling to find an open man and held the ball for over 10 seconds. That ended up drawing the ire of fans who were on hand who began chanting, “Brady, Brady!”
