This should be the plan imo. Much bigger hole at SS than backup OG.  If this is an option we would be crazy not to go with this plan of action...

I'd say both are equally important (might even give RG/T the edge) but the problem is we don't know how healthy Wharton is. That's why I'd sign Mikell over Wharton

I think Mikell would start at SS, wouldn't say the same for Wharton one based on injury, two based on the fact that he's not the same player.  That's why I say SS is more important.  Not necessarily that OG isn't just as important, but of the players available SS is the one where we can get a starter from.  Much rather grab a starter and lock up Hardy, then a guy who will be depth and might not even be ready to play till week six.

He was cut as a salery cap move.

He does not have a history of health problems.

If Wharton was signed I doubt he winds up as the back up.

If healty, he's an immediate upgrade.

I would never complain about having a quality back up either, as long as the dollars are right.

Hate to break it to you, but it Wharton signs he WILL BE starting this season...at either RG or RT.

 

He is an upgrade to both Bell and Hangman.

He failed his physical that's why he was cut (probably the DUI as well)
