Two teams to L.A.?

Recommended Posts

Jones says stuff to reporters because his ego is so huge he loves reading about himself in the morning paper.  To destroy your own team by refusing to fire your GM when he obviously sucks is beyond stupid.   The old saying, "A person who is their own attorney has a fool for a client" should be adapted--"An owner who is his own GM has a fool..."

The Raiders could be an option if their stadium woes don't improve. I did see them considering a 50,000 stadium, and that they are struggling to fund. So with their history relocation wouldn't be overly surprising.

The Rams might be another option after being refused the funding that they wanted for their stadium renovation. If they don't get the money to renovate, or support for a new stadium, they can break their lease quite easily and leave or LA. Again they have history in LA and the move wouldn't be surprising.

Those two teams would be the two I think are most likely to move to LA. The Chargers are the next best bet to relocate, but I think their owners want to keep them in San Diego.

Jacksonville makes sense.  Weak fanbase, small market, bad team.  They could move the team to LA and put them in the NFC West.  Move the St. Louis Rams to the AFC South.  Everything makes sense geographically, everyone's happy.

They will probably get a team, with the amount of money they're willing to throw at the stadium project.

The Jags would actually make a lot of sense, and who would know better about spending a billion on a stadium and putting a losing product on the field inside it than Jerry Jones.
