That was a well written article. 

 

I have argued with a few unnamed people on this forum that our DBs will be improved because of our front seven.  Too many people on here look at individuals and not the whole unit.

 

I also want to point out that this defense will be improved even if Star and Short don't have outstanding rookie years.  Edwards and Cole (another runstopper) will be able to teach and mentor our young DTs.   We are better with two... outstanding with all four.

Star is going to be as advertised. I'll put money on it.

 

He may not get sack numbers but his impact in the run game and pushing the pocket will be immense. He is too strong and too coachable for this not to happen

if those numbers and reasoning are accurate regarding hardy/johnson sacks, then the addition of our first 2 draft picks should only help matters. i mean basically what it says is with more line help and a SLIGHT upgrade in the secondary, that johnson/hardy are going to have more time and put up bigger numbers. .

 

  now im looking around the league, and honestly, I dont see an offensive front, thats as good as our defensive front..  im talking on stats, talent, and just pure opinion... but on that logic.. perhaps are we talking record year if everyone stays healthy?  I like to think so.

 

 

 

i also like to think that its not going to really matter because our offense is goign to put points on the board. it seems like the entire nfl is setting up for these high powered quarterbacks and moving more away from the run.. were still a running team and if the nfc south isnt ready, that alone could put us on top. throw in a defense that can stop you! ...well.. im ready for football.  on paper it looks good, but we all know paper means nothing.
