Eric Wright headed back to Bucs?

You're right, that was his first offense I'm thinking of. I found a good read on why he probably won't be suspended though. If he is, it will probably be 1-2 games.

IDK about that. The games usually increase no matter the offense after the first suspension. I could be wrong....

Are you thinking of Von miller?

I read this paragraph incorrectly:

The Buccaneers signed Wright to a five-year, $37.5 million contract that included $15.5 million in guaranteed money last March. Though Wright would not be disciplined for his DUI arrest, he would serve a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

For some reason, I read that as he "will" serve a four-game suspension rather than he "would".  Still kinda confusingly stated, but my mistake.

I've got 2 questions. Why did he fail the physical? And why did the Bucs release him afterwards, if he was worth a trade? Didn't fit the team 'culture'? His attitude must suck.

Teams can use physicals as an excuse to get rid of someone, it's an unstated lemon policy.

I'm sure he PHYSICALLY passed it, they just used it as a way of backing out of the deal.  Probably didn't like his personality, and obviously his questionable off-field character issues as well.
