TAMPA, Fla. -- The trade of Eric Wright from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the San Francisco 49ers was voided Monday, after the cornerback failed a physical, San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh said.

His rights reverted to the Buccaneers, who are in the process of releasing him, a league source said.

Wright had fallen out of favor with the Bucs after he was charged with misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles on July 12.

He also served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances last season.

Folks, Eric Wright is one of the most overrated players to ever wear an NFL uniform.  He was his mother's only child, and he was not her favorite.  Ask any Browns fan about the parade they had in Cleveland when he left-they hated him-with good reason.
