what are some good places to watch a panthers game in wilmington?/fug the redskins and their fans

If you're rushing to watch the game on opening day I can promise you BWW will be absolutely packed to the mad by the time you get there...at least the one closest to you. But have no fear my friend you'll still have several options.

Wild Wing Cafe is a pretty solid place to watch the games however it may be packed as well seeing as how they kind of have their regulars. Both Carolina Ale House and Kickback Jacks will be busy but you should still be able to get a table just maybe not prime seating. Jerry Allens is a bar actually right on Wrightsville Beach and they just did some serious remodeling so that also would not be a bad option. Fox and Hound is probably your best bet but it may be packed. However the food is great and the waitress' are all for he most part attractive. That's probably where I'll watch it since I date one of the servers there.

If all else fails downtown Wilmington has a few bars you can watch it at as well but if you've got your kid it might be tough. If its just you Liquid Room has $2 all bottles and free wings during football season. Copper Penny is a great place but its a Philly Bar and it will probably be packed with Philly fans so they might not even put the Panthers game on.

Good luck though buddy and let me know if you have anymore questions with regards to where to watch in Wilmington.

the only thing worse than living in D.C. is being slowly digested in the stomach of the sarlacc and even that's a stretch. RGIII has the durability of a my-size-barbie in the clutches of forum poster grits r great. all redskins fans are either admitted child-molesters or aging white-templed natty ice-chugging shrek-gut fart face middle-school dropouts with idiotic mustaches that haven't been cool since smokey and the bandit.

get out of this nice thread

Wow, what a great contribution to the thread.  Even better response to my post.  I'm sure the community is better off with you in it.  With that said, I live in Charlotte, NC and Im curious to know if anyone has heard how the loss of the Fox affiliate station (WCCB) will impact games on Sundays.

I'll take RG3 over S C A M Newton any day (you seriously make it to where people cant criticize your QB, fuging nazis). Not sure whats up with the insults, but it sounds like you need therapy pal.  I know being anonymous on the internet makes you feel all "BAD ASS" PhillyB, cause I can 100% guaran-damn-tee that you wouldn't talk poo like that to anyone in public.  Quit acting like an E-Thug.

So with WCCB no longer being an affiliate to Fox and it's been documented that WCCB Charlotte will lose Panther games.  What station are y'all gonna be able to watch games on, Panthers and the double header games?  Since WCCB will not be airing it and there is no local Fox affiliate anymore, do blackout rules still apply?  Or will you be able to catch the games on NFL Sunday Ticket.

I know I'm a Redskin fan, but there are times when the Panthers aren't playing that the Skins get shown on Fox since they are popular in this region.  Also, as a huge fan of football, I would always catch the second game of the double header on Fox.  Not to mention, flipping to the Panthers game during TOs, commercial breaks, half-time to check in during the Skins games.

I've googled this topic and can't find an answer at all.  I was hoping that with the debut of Fox Sports 1 in August, it would be airing the games, but it appears that it will not be.

WJZY is now Fox 46

How does calling him S C A M amount to criticism? Looks better as Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire anyways.

Oh, and to stay on topic (in response to OP)...right by the beach, boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

Right, I know that.  What I'm asking is has anyone heard what will happen on Sundays for the games that are aired on Fox?  They have already confirmed that with the dropping of being a fox affiliate, they lose all Nascar and Panther games.

So, there will no longer be a local Fox affiliate in Charlotte anymore.  With that said, will the games be televised on NFL Sunday Ticket and blackout rules not apply?  Or will everyone be poo outta luck on Sundays for getting to watch football thats aired on Fox?

Guys dad got paid so he would attend Auburn.  He stole a fuging labtop at Florida and got kicked out of the university.  He cries like a little bitch on the sideline when he messes up and has his own teammate (Steve Smith) call him out publicly and pretty much tell him to man up.

Great fuging character guy you got at QB.  All I did was come on here and ask an intelligent question about the future of watching Panther/NFL games in the Charlotte area and have that assclown talk smack about the Redskins for no reason other than to troll me.

I thought my fellow peeps from the Charlotte area would be more intelligent than this and not act like a bunch of dumbasses.

You realize RG3 is nearing the same 'character' levels as Vick and Roethlisberger as you type this, right? Cam has had maturity issues handling losses in the nfl and made a bad choice with a laptop when he was 18. I guess it would be better if he was making booty calls on his wedding night, 'accidentally' leaking his wedding gift registry to fans, throwing his coaches under the bus, or the like?

sshhhhh..

cam got into some trouble when he was a kid. like most of us here.

rg3 is banging sluts cheating on his fiance now wife since he was at Baylor. He is a Tiger Woods fake made media story.

redskin fan coming to a panthers forum and acts like it's a surprise when no one wants to have a discussion with him.

Get in line to suck RG3's dick while he continuously cheats on his wife and major networks don't cover their golden boy

Or better yet, believe what the major networks tell you about Cam.  Or find out for yourself via google.com. He's a great dude.

According to most of these wacko hypocrite opposing fans buying a stolen laptop when ur an immature college kid (which I am now, and I'm sure almost everyone on this board is or was at some point) is the equivalent of hijacking a passenger jet and flying it into a children's daycare center while simulationously raping a 90 year old woman with Parkinson's and nothing will change their mind about that no matter what you argue so it's not even worth your time to give attention to these idiots.

so due to my brother-in-law picking the worst date in the history of mankind to get married at the worst possible time of day to get married, i will find myself scrambling to leave the wedding on the verge of appropriateness (which i don't care about since his fiance hates my ass anyway) to find a place to watch the game.

the panthers-seahawks game.

on opening. freaking. day.

the wedding is in wrightsville beach and the ceremony is at 11am, so basically i have to calculate hauling ass out of there in time to zip to a bar in the wilmington area in time to make the opening kickoff. preferably a decent place, though i am not opposed to a dive bar. the wife and kid may be with me (or they might drop me off there and go do beachy things, i don't know.)

anyway help a brother out.

If you end up going downtown, no doubt go to The Husk on the corner of Front St and Dock St. My last roommate is now the head manager there and the manager before that was my neighbor and she always had the Panthers on the main screen as well as sound system audio. Last year they had free chili on opening day, I'll make sure that the current manager does something like that because while there are many places you might catch full audio at for the Panthers game, nothing is guaranteed and we need a home bar in downtown Wilmington. I remember Kurb used to have the hook up at Hell's Kitchen a few seasons ago but I am unsure if that is still going on.

    • from the observer     Miami Dolphins. The Panthers will welcome one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, led by Alabama alum Tua Tagovailoa and fast-as-a-cheetah Tyreek Hill, to Bank of America Stadium in 2025. The Dolphins are 8-8 this year and are 6-2 against the Panthers all-time. *Seattle Seahawks. This home matchup marks a full-circle moment for Dave Canales, who cut his NFL teeth under Pete Carroll in Seattle. Carolina is 4-9 all-time against the Seahawks and lost the last contest in the matchup in 2023. Seattle is 9-7 heading into Week 18. *Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are perennial playoff contenders and have notched seven winning seasons the past eight years. The Panthers are 12-10 against the Rams all-time. *Buffalo Bills. This year it was the Kansas City Chiefs. This year’s Super Bowl contenders making a trip to Bank of America Stadium? Josh Allen and the Bills. The Panthers are 2-6 all-time against the Buffalo franchise. New York Giants / Cowboys. The Panthers had a home game — technically — against the Giants this year. That was in Germany, of course. And the 2025 Giants (3-13 entering Week 18) will look a lot different than the ones the Panthers faced in Munich, what with a new quarterback coming and a refurbished offense. That is, of course, if the Panthers finish last in the NFC South. If not, they face the Cowboys (7-9) New England Patriots. Panthers fans get an up-close look at their homegrown NFL quarterback when Carolina travels to Foxborough to take on the Drake Maye-led Patriots. The Pats are 3-13 entering Week 18. New York Jets. The Jets are 4-12 this year and have an existential crisis to handle this offseason — with their situations at quarterback and their head coach not exactly stable. At least for now, it feels like a compelling matchup for the Panthers on the road. San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers seem much better than 6-10. And they will likely be in 2025 — particularly if former Panther Christian McCaffreystays healthy. The Panthers are 13-9 against San Francisco all-time. Chicago Bears / Green Bay Packers. The Panthers are either playing the last-placed Bears or the second-to-last-place Packers in 2025, two very different. The mostly that emerged from Soldier Field this season focused on how much the Bears had “fleeced” the Panthers in their blockbuster trade before the 2023 season. But with Bryce Young playing well and the Bears in free fall and with a new coach incoming, that perception might be different next season. Tennessee Titans / Jaguars. The Panthers are facing either the last-place team or the second-to-last place team in the AFC South in 2025, depending on Sunday’s results. (A Titans win and a Jaguars loss could knot them at 4-13 each, but the Jags have the edge with their divisional record and would thus earn the tiebreaker.) Arizona Cardinals. The Panthers are also facing the Cardinals, who are entering Week 18 with a 7-9 record.
    • Who is J. Stafford and R Prescott? Looks like a random number generator piece of AI crap
    • Our offense averages 18.6 points per game, good for 25th in the league this year. Not great. worst offense ever? 7.4 ppg. Over 11 points per game difference. our defense? 31 ppg. Good for 32nd (by a lot) worst defense ever? 32.5 ppg by the 2020 lions.
