Is this the year MJ finally trades for a star?

YOLO!

I think with the name change going back to the Hornets, our owner MJ may be looking for a face of the franchise moving forward. We have the assets (young talent/lottery picks) to go after a star this year. Do you guys think now is the time to make a big splash?

If so who do you feel we should go after that is realistic no Durant/Lebron of course.

I would love to get Russell Westbrook.

I know some of you are thinking no way OKC trades Westbrook, but they have a poor mans version of Westbrook already with Reggie Jackson, if they get off to a bad start I can see them trading Westbrook if they don't improve.

You mean to tell me MKG/1rd (lottery pick) isn't enough to get Westbrook out of OKC?

There's no way they trade Westbrook. Yeah they are a good team still without him but look at how that team did without him. People make fun and critique how Westbrook should play. But to be honest without him they aren't much. So yeah I would love that but it aint happening

Klay plays so stiff..great shot but not a great driver. But I guess Kemba and MKG are the slashers so a deep threat shooting guard is a premium for the team.

However would he improve the Hornets?! Yep.

Stephon Curry would be so perfect and is criminal he is not in Charlotte. If his ankle is good Id trade a ransom for him.

Oh hell yeah. I would rather have him

Hands down. But I didnt realistically think it would happen. Would absolutely love it if it did tho. If they fail to make the playoffs(which will be hard fr them to do) I would def call them up and say hey wanna make a deal

    • Bryce has had this story of being a great leader and a person who his teammates love.  Coaches and media all said some form of after talking with Bryce or spending time with him and it was obvious the type of person and leader he was.  I don't see it from his demeanor and public persona but he might be the type of guy who's much different in person.  With so many people saying some version of this I hope the fans get a glimpse of it some time.
    • Auburn literally could've had 20+ fouls in that half. Hate playing teams like this. They picked up 5-6 quick ones then like always happens the refs start to get whistle shy not wanting to call a foul every possession and they start getting away with murder. The way they call the games encourages this type of play. If they keep fouling just keep calling it.
    • I think last year actually set him back.  Our interior online was one of the worst I've seen.  Combine that with Frank archaic system and about 10 other things and then Canales comes in and implements his system regardless who the players were. A lot of coaches think their system can work with any player and don't do any or as much as they should with tailoring it to fit the player.  Canales admitted that pretty much in our first game but when he scaled it back and Bryce still looked horrible so he was benched.  That move right there is one of the big things that has sold me on Canales.  I judge him based on what he's done since he was renamed the starter.  I probably need to give him a little more rope because it probably seemed in his first game like it was just like last year.  Another new coach with his system and Bryce just went along.  Both the coach and the player are adapting to each other and I think that we are back, baby!!!!  It's just like Drew Brees and Sean Payton except without the mole and the butthole lips.
