RG3 cheating scandal

My grandfather used to always tell me never trust a man that wears socks with a cape on them.

Actually he passed away when I was very young. But I'm pretty sure he would have told me that had we had the opportunity to have one of those grandfather-grandson fishing on the end of the dock kind of bonding moments.

In my honest opinion, the media portrayal of Cam Newton is in reality a carbon copy of who Robert Griffin actually is. Fake smile, disingenuous, cocky, arrogant, entitled, me first attitude, highly overrated, etc. And that is something I noticed well before this incident, which I'm hesitant to believe.

Love him or hate him, Cam Newton comes across as extremely genuine. He is who he is. Robert Griffin may look and act the part of a choir boy and leader but it seems fake and almost forced.

Not sure I buy this incident, though. It seems very fraudulent. However, it does appear he at least had contact with this girl while he was engaged to Rebecca. That in and of itself is a very, very bad character flaw. After being cheated on by a girl I deeply loved I have a strong opinion of men or women who cheat on their significant other, and it isn't a very good one.

ESPN may ignore it for awhile, but if he struggles this season, people like PFT will surmise that his off field, troubled marriage is just a bit too much for a 2nd year QB to handle. Then ESPN will have to take up the subject.
