Someone just tried to run me over

Ok, I know I've mentioned before that I'm currently a foreman working for a commercial landscape maintenance company(might have the new job next week :-)).

Well one of our bigger contracts is that we do all the McDonald's in the region, and one of these such McDonald's was my second stop this morning, we had already finished all the work and were just blowing the property off, when I was blowing off a small strip between the order kiosk and the payment window during a break in vehicles which normally takes all about 5 seconds and I'm not exaggerating, I'm there about 2 seconds and the lady that was next in line pulls up on me and nearly hits me I jump out of the way and if I haven't she probably would have, I look to see why she was trying to pull forward like that and there was no where for her to go because someone else was still paying, I signal her that I just need one second to finish and as soon as I look down she near about runs me over!

I don't know wtf is wrong with people I seriously lost a little faith in the human race today

/Rant

You should have weed eatered* her front quarter panel.

* or is it "weed ate" or "weed eated"?

I chow down on a breakfast burrito every once in awhile. Everything else McD's makes me poo water 30 seconds after ingesting it.

Me and a coworker were walking around our business park. It is not in a great part of town...near 49/woodlawn....anyways we were walking, him in the grass and me along side the curb when a car coming towards us, speeds up, and swerves into the curb to make me jump out of the street. (there was plenty of room)

its weedeat.

I thought for a second about kicking her door(steel toe boots) but then I would have intentionally damaged a customer vehicle while working at maybe our second biggest customer contract property, nothing good would have come out of it, so I just settled with cussing her out followed by a phone all to my manager explaining why he may hear of one of his employees cussing someone out at a McDonald's.

ive been nearly hit twice before in the last 8 month, but both of the other cases were because I was in a bad spot and they couldn't see me, especially the second time, I think it scared the crap out of the guy when he realized how close he came to hitting me because he took a turn really fast and I was around the corner.

But this is the exception because she knew I was there and straight up tried to run me over

No offense Doc but when in the bloody fuging hell did landscapers decide it was ok to blow debris on your car with a high powered blower from 5 feet or less?

fuging up my paint job because you want to hurry up and blow the last leaf away.  that's bullshit.

i love spitting on peoples cars to get even--

they have to look at the wet (or dried) spit sulking there for the entire drive to their destination and then have to clean it off eventually or else be reminded everytime they get in their car of the deed that caused the loogie stain on their windshield or driver-side window

    • I saw that too--and what you said made sense because there is something like that in the rules--said that he is unlikely to get picked up (and I was not suggesting that we do) and Jones wants to go to a winning team.   After getting beaten to death in NY behind a sub par OL, poor WRs, and brutal fan base, I get it.
    • True.  Sam and Baker did not do well here but went on to better things under better coaching, circumstances or both.  The real question is, ‘why aren’t the Panthers able to get improved performance out of ‘broken toys’, similar to Minnesota and Tampa? That is a rhetorical question.  I think we know the answer.   [The cultural reference to Pogo dates me, I’ll admit.]
    • Did I mention that he was on worse teams?  Yes.  Do QBs alone win games?  No.  Did Cam, on a much better team with some awesome defenses ever have 2 consecutive winning seasons?  No.  So now you are cherry picking,  If the overall stats are similar, you take a look at him.   I told you that you look at his skill set---but you wanted to tell me that he sucks and mentioned performance.  I just presented performance--and his numbers are very similar to Cam Newton's numbers--a player most call the best Panther QB ever--and I agree.  By the way, Fumbles are evidence of how bad his OL has been--so you are saying that a QB in a situation worse than Cam's who has stats and physical abilities very similar to Cam's should not be given a look when you have Bryce Young at QB?  You are going with that story because you simply talked your way into a corner and now you are trying to save face.  No good GM would do what you suggest because "he sucks."  Sorry, but the facts do not support you.  But no matter what eye-opening details I provide, there are some who are going to go their Google machines to try to find some reason to support an ignorant approach to developing the QB position.  You ignored the similarities to Cam and went cherry picking.  I know what you are doing--but I am only suggesting (as I have stated before) that we bring him in as one of three approaches to resolving the QB issue. Compete with Bryce and draft a QB. Basically, I am suggesting that Jones has the potential to replace Dalton and compete with Young.  He is a battered stock that could get better in a better situation--that is human nature.  Instead, I am called a Daniel Jones lover and superfan.  That is good debate--But a real sign of mature thinking is the inability to LOGICALLY consider alternative perspectives--which is actually a characteristic of intelligence.  Just so you know, I critique and perform research in my job.  I am often amazed at how the numbers do not support my suppositions.  I learned that my impression is often wrong until I look at the data.  In this case, I have considered all the important variables and he should get a shot.  Numbers don't lie--and when you and others resort to twisted name calling directed toward the poster--it verifies my position.
