Hendo Gone?

I think Henderson is a much better player than those guys but I understand your point and we do value him more.  Especially since I've heard of 0 teams being interested in his services.

Maybe he can play under the qualifying offer and if he shows us he's "that" guy this year, with better pieces around him, then we can pay him.  Not sure if that's how that works though.

I agree he is a better player then them but his agent better understand the FA market in the new CBa is very different and his value will be higher here. He is a for sure starter here and a leader. Where  else does he get that situations?

And if his agent isn't telling him that he needs to be fired.

Doesn't look like anywhere, honestly.  I have read about no other teams being interested.  The ones that were looking for SG help months ago have found options I believe.

So they sign Jefferson, and then turn into cheapskates? Great.

I kind of feel this way too.  Henderson never gave up on this team last season and played hard.  He's a high character guy that we shouldn't cheap out on.  I'm not sure we could trade for someone that has the same defense Henderson has.

who are the shooters you're talking about??

Wiggins,Randle Parker, and Gordon are all SF or tweener candidates. Who are these SG's coming out next year that's got you excited?

Andrew Wiggins, Guard, Kansas: Wiggins is the consensus No. 1 prospect in our Top 100 after talking with numerous NBA scouts and executives. He is one of the most hyped prospects ever to come out of high school and draws comparisons to a young Tracy McGrady. Wiggins received the top vote from every scout and GM I spoke with.

Wiggins is an elite athlete who does just about everything well. He has great size for his position on the wing, is an explosive leaper and can score from beyond the arc and off the bounce. While there are times when he appears to be a bit disengaged, his talent -- both physically and from a skills perspective -- is off the charts.

James Young, Shooting Guard, Kentucky: Young started the Spring as a top 10 player. Heading into the summer, he is a top 5 player. He is an athletic lefty who can score in a variety of ways. He is long and explosive around the basket and can get hot from 3 and see his point totals go up in a hurry. He play within himself and rarely takes a bad shot and plays a very unselfish brand of basketball.

Andrew Harrison, Shooting Guard, Kentucky: He is a big, physical point guard who uses his sheer strength to get in the lane and score or make plays for others at will. He is super competitive and can beat without scoring which is rare for most players. He can shoot the ball to three and he can penetrate and kick with the best of them. His biggest asset, however, is his ability to elevate the play off everyone around him. He is a leader and a floor general who will put his team on his back when necessary.

Marcus Smart - 6-4/225, Shooting Guard, Oklahoma State, Sophomore

Smart would have been a top-five pick in the 2013 NBA draft, and given the unpredictability of that class he could have risen all the way to No. 1 like Anthony Bennett did. But he chose to return to Oklahoma State for his sophomore season to refine his game and improve his weaknesses. That decision earned him significant points in my book. I wish more kids would do the same, but you can’t fault them for bolting for NBA riches. Smart is a tremendous athlete and a classic stat-sheet stuffer. He averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.0 steals last season as a freshman.

What does he need to improve? His 3.7 turnovers per game (understandable for a freshman who always had the ball in his hands) and subpar shooting percentages. Smart shot 40 percent from the field and just 29 percent (38 for 131) from three-point range. Defenders will continue to play off him until he proves he can knock down the outside shot with regularity. If that aspect of his game improves, the sky is the limit. Smart is a top-five pick next year.

Id be happy with any of them.  Not to play down the fact that Hendo was good for this team, its a business thing and I see talent coming in and apparently Hendo wants more than we can give. Soooo....
