Ron Jaworski thinks Cam Newton is the 18th best QB in football.

You can't make an assertion without needing confirmation from more homers? It's okay, it will come with age.

Oh, and by the way, baseball teams, NBA teams and others do it too. Sorry to open up the real world to you, but it happens. In fact, the NBA is trying to stop it to some sort.

When September rolls around, check out baseball, it will blow your split down the middle mind

yeah let's use basketball to make a statement about football

you wouldn't be a UNC fan would you?

Wilson and Luck ahead of Cam?

Nope.

Maybe Rivers

Maybe Stafford. Maybe.

Yeah that's debatable but I put them ahead of Cam because they led their team to the playoffs as a rookie. But as far as overall as a qb, I would take Cam over both.

Rivers has fallen off.

Stafford is overrated, he has maybe the best wr in NFL History, and still can't lead his team to the playoffs. Detroit is a talented team, put Cam on the Lions and they are a contender.

Did you guys with all the opinions watch the segment?

Jaws said over and over that Cam had a ton of potential, but made a lot of mistakes, thus the ranking.

Not based on potential here, but results. So far, not getting to .500 is not actually, results. He should be able to move ahead this season, hopefully in a big way.

The guy I see dropping is Stafford. His Oline is nothing and he is getting more erratic each season.

Yeah my bad I was just talking quarterbacks by the numbers but you know The internets don't give two shits about numbers

Luck made more mistakes.

Oh, but I forgot the mantra of the pea-brained: WINS.

luck and cam in pressure/close game situations:

from somethingawful

Final Margin 0-7

Luck 222-407, 54.5%, 7.0 YPA, 16/9 TD/Int, 80.6 QBR

Cam 138-251, 55.0%, 7.7 YPA, 08/6 TD/Int, 80.7 QBR

4TH QTR, +/-7 PTS

Luck 51-89, 57.3%, 7.7 YPA, 4/1 TD/Int, 92.3 QBR

Cam 36-59, 61.0%, 9.4 YPA, 2/1 TD/Int, 96.5 QBR

Behind by 1-8 Points

Luck 91-170, 53.5%, 7.7 YPA, 8/6 TD/Int, 80.0 QBR

Cam 79-142, 55.6%, 8.5 YPA, 6/3 TD/Int, 89.0 QBR

And this doesn't include his rushing numbers.

It has never been about the wins when it comes to Cam. Wait till he starts winning and you'll see how much respect he wont get. Anybody that knows anything about football know that Cam and the panthers will eventually start winning, u think the naysayers really dont know that? They are clinging to anything they can and will continue to do so.
