As for the rankings, they don't bother me.  In fact, he's in the middle of the pack to me right now.  I expect him to continue to climb the list, and be top 5 here soon.  Only problem I have is when you put Luck ahead of him.  With his completion % and turnovers, Luck should be in the 20's, and definitely behind Cam in rankings.

there are still people who are massively butthurt about his clothing line, mostly because it launched after the giants ass-kicking.

I had almost forgotten about that. Stuff like that goes back to individual grudges him and others in this very fanbase have against Cam dating back to the draft. They disappear when he is doing well, but quickly pile on if we lose.

At this present time I would say middle of the pack is about right. He is still young and although he makes some spectacular plays sometimes, he still makes boneheaded plays like against seattle. Factor in that the panthers as a whole are middle of the pack or lower in non panther fans eyes and there is really no where else for an outsider to rank him.

The problem I have with these types of lists is how sports writers put so much value on making the playoffs and superbowls. You can be an average qb on a really good team and win a superbowl or 2 and they will make it sound like you are the greatest ever. I sure am glad the other 21 players dont do anything....

Most teams will get guys on the field when their season is over, as far as playoffs. Is that such a foreign concept here in Carolina? If Anderson can't run the offense, then why spend cash on him in the offseason?

Same with WR's, OLineman, etc. We pretty much know what we have in Clausen and I am surprised he is still here. Cam has progressed much better than I thought he would in his touch passes. He still has a way to go in crossing patterns, etc. His leadership seems better now also, at least in what he is saying in the press.

As far as his clothing line, I would rather he be a successful, playoff QB, before concentrating on other endeavors. I am all about being a capitalist and him making as much money as possible. He just can't get the cart before the horse. Nobody will buy a line of clothing from a guy no longer in the league. Priorities. AND, the line was brought up becuase the guy said he would put him above Kap, Wilson and others. Not sure what he was measuring, unless it was the style off the field.

I also wanted NOT to sign Stewart because of our direction and overload of RB's. I remember how all you "team" guys had to have Double Trouble back and did not want Stewart to go anywhere and how you cheered our RB stable. Such foresight.

Now, a couple years later, the reality bites. Nothing against Stewart or Williams, you just have a thing called the cap and again, team is what is important, not personalities or your wall posters.
