I used to love the cartoon with Tarzan and the Lone Ranger hour..then it was Soul Train and cartoons were done!!

Modern moviemakers have made a couple of runs at The Lone Ranger. To date, it hasn't gone well. "Legend of the Lone Ranger" was awful. I'd certainly like to see someone do it right, but I've got my doubts on this one.

There was actually a time when I had an interest in this movie, but the phrase "Johnny Depp as Tonto" pretty much killed it.

You telling me they couldn't have found an authentic actor for that part?

I'm really just not a big Depp fan.  I'm not saying he's a bad actor, I just don't really get excited about stuff he does.  I'll wait and check it out when I can download it, etc.   I've watched a lot of movies where I enjoyed them at home that I just wouldn't want to have paid $10 to see and this may be one.
