Panthers to ink Quintin Mikell?

Interesting indeed. More safety help? I'd feel a lot better if we could ink a coupe of OL  particularly at the RG/RT spots. Those are major ???s right now.

Completely agree!!!

ERIC WINSTON would be a better free agent signing for us now at this point.

But Winston may not be interested in coming here.  And if that's the case, I welcome Mikell.

Yeah, because teams are jumping to land him. At this point he'd sign with just about anyone.

Also, Winston is a zone blocking scheme, player. Hes not nearly the same player in a power blocking scheme. That and the money he THINKS he's worth have kept him a FA.

Yes but can he cover? This also means that the Rams LBs weren't getting the job done.

He's a 8th man in the box safety. I'm not so worry about his covering ability which I think it's still average. It cant be worse than what we have already experience. And, add in the fact that we'll be playing a lot of other coverages with guys like DJ and Thomas in.

Godfrey over Minter? I don't mean to sound like a jerk but only a fan who hasn't seen Minter play would say such an absurd comment. Minter is the best safety this franchise has ever seen and you're proclaiming Godfrey is somehow superior despite the inconsistency in coverage and average tackling.

Don't bother with him.

im just not sold on the secondary, in fact i'm still worried. hopefully the front four will help and maybe we will blitz more. but if we play D like we did in the last few mins of that chicago game, we gonna be last year's saints.

Stop looking over the edge of that cliff and just jump off already.

I'm far more worried about our offense coming out and scoring 7-13 points in the first couple of games out of the gate. The Chicago game was shocking, and I thought Rivera was going to be fired after that game. Our defense should be very good this season if the play-calling is aggressive, and it damn well should be.
