Birkdale Golf Club shuttered in NC Revenue action

Birkdale Golf Club was closed Tuesday and the locks changed, with the state contending the company owes at least $64,000 in N.C. taxes.

 

Officers of the Huntersville Police Department and agents of the N.C. Department of Revenue appeared at the Huntersville golf course before 11 a.m. and served notices on its management.

 

The closing apparently left surprised golfers outside the buildings, waiting to begin or complete rounds of golf.

 

 

 

Can't believe this didn't happen years ago. This goat track has been poorly maintained for two years
