Messing with a hostage situation? If that winds up being the true story on how this started then, IMHO, the cops shot the wrong animal.

I just don't see anything wrong with this at all. Man was interfering with a hostage situation which is against the law. He got legally detained, his dog wasn't properly restrained and attacked police officers. 

 

 

Just reminds me of some of the messed up stuff that some jobs require you to do. Got some sad stories from doing utility surveying and locating about crappy stuff happening to people's dogs because they didn't lock them up properly before the work had to be done. Lots of people get their dogs spray painted and maced because of them not being removed from the backyard prior to work. (It's what the workers are told to do if they are surprised by a dog or animal that looks like it's about to attack.
