What our divisional Boards are saying

Recommended Posts

You know what's fun?

If you still has some Panther games recorded on the DVR, watch the games and imagine we got pressure up the middle consistently from the DT position.

I can't wait to see our new DT's in action.

I can't wait for the season to start.

Not so related to the topic but Bleacher Report (I know, I know... I was bored) recently released an article detailing which defenses are best suited to handle dual-threat QBs and The Read-Option/Pistol, and not surprising The Panthers got an honorable mention but I was a tad bothered by the fact that the author ranked The Dolphins ahead of The Panthers (and dare I say it -- The Buccaneers).

Our defense had a season of incredible highs... and abysmal lows, but our front seven contained and harassed mobile QBs like RG3, Wilson and Pryor. There is certainly something to say about that. If Lotulelei and Short pay off, we could be as dominant as San Fran's D in a couple of years.

I agree with everything you said except your last sentence.

Our linebackers and DE are Veterans.  Good solid Pro Bowl Caliber players.  Beason has been there, Davis was on his way when got hurt and if Kuechly doesn't make it soon there are serious problems in the voting process.   CJ should have been there last year and an argument for Kraken is not a bad argument.   Throw in two rookies with to really good Vets (Edwards and Cole).

Our defense can be dominate THIS year.  If the DT can collapse the pocket, Keep those QBs from stepping up.  They aren't nearly going to have the time the did before.

tbf I honestly believe top to bottom we have the most competitive division in the league - yes NFC West has the best top two teams, but the Rams and Cardinals are not better than any team in our division

I think it will be a dogfight between the Saints, Vikings, and Panthers for the 6th playoff spot. It's hard to tell, but if the last two seasons have taught us anything it's that we now how to choke a big game away.

NFC South top to bottom is as difficult as any.  Has been for years. We still don't we have a back to back champion.  No one has won it more than three times and no one has won it less than 2 times. In fact if we win in in 2013.  It will be a three - for - All.

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that we win the NFC South outright.  We were one play away from sweeping Atl and swept NO.  Should have beaten TB at home.  So, we are already competitive in our division.  Our defense is much better and our offense is improved.

Keep the boneheaded plays and bad decisions to a minimum and we will be right there with everyone else in the division.

In the NFL your either moving forward or your behind. Both the Panthers and the Bucs got better, ATL and NO have the same parts as last year. The panthers boast the best defence in the south and also have a good QB. Not a bad place to be if you ask me, also Payton will make NO better but Ryan is not a good DC. Dallas had much better talent than NO and Dal defence was crap.
