NHL Draft: 6th Round (156th Overall): Carolina Selects Tyler Ganly

With the 156th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Carolina Hurricanes select defenseman Tyler Ganly from Sault Ste. Marie. Ganly was ranked as the 166th overall prospect in North America.

 

Ganly is a 6'1/201 lb. defenseman from Milton, Ontario who does one thing... fight. Ganly is listed on hockeyfights.com having fought eight times last year including one against Brent Pedersen, whom the Canes just drafted in the 5th round.

Ganly was drafted in the 5th round by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the OHL Draft, and figures to be a career AHL player at best.
