Hornets / Bobcats draft Zeller

U excited about drafting 4th again next year and missing Wiggins?

I'd rather have Parker over Wiggins.

But, onto Zeller... I don't like the pick. I think that he could be a solid pro, but why at #4? Was there really no one to trade back with, not one person wanted McLemore/Len/Noel? That's hard to believe. Zeller could've easily been picked up at 9th or 10th, and if not there, Plumlee is a similar player with less of a jump shot.

I think Zeller's floor is Nick Collison and his ceiling is Kevin Love or LaMarcus Aldridge. I would have picked someone else, but anyone who is hating the pick should chill out. We got a guy who's going to be in the league a long time and could be a potential All-Star if he puts in the work. He's a lot more athletic than he gets credit for, runs the floor well, and is going to be a cornerstone player the future Hornets.

Zeller is the most athletic PF/C in this draft and is one of the most skilled bigs in this draft. Not seeing the overdrafting part here.

McClemore killed his top 3 status by showing up out of shape and performing like garbage in draft workouts. Noel probably wont play a single game this season.

Len has a serious ankle injury that has ruined careers before.

First off, Bennet is a far more athletic 4 and Len is just as athletic/skilled of a center (who is both taller and has longer arms), so that moniker doesn't really hold weight.

Second the consensus among EVERYONE was their were 6 top guys. Therefore, we overdrafted.

McLemore was the best player on a veteran Kansas team who is very young and raw, and would at the minimum improve our horrendous 3 point shooting, and give us another player to groom alongside MKG.

this. so much this. I don't hate Zeller personally, but there was no reason to reach for him at 4.

I dont care. I hate the pick of Zeller, but I'm koo with it. Shouldve knew it was going to be him with the recent workout and reports.

I dont care who we get next year. I would love to land Wiggins, but again Stern is rigged. I'd gladly take Parker, Smart, Randle, or Gordon.

Zeller is just as fast and is taller and a better leaper then Bennett. No One knew who was a top 6 guy or not because they all had question marks.

McLemore showed up out of shape, not caring and performed like garbage in draft workouts. Plus his interviews weren't that good and there were questions about off court relationships. He plummeted from a top 3 guy to the 7th pick... lol

Len is no where close to as athletic as Zeller, that's just crazy. Len is bigger but that's about it. Zeller is faster, more agile, better leaper...ext...

Plus Zeller has the record for highest vertical leap in NBA combine history, 38/39 inch vert for a 7 footer is ridiculous.

I find it hilarious that a lot of the same people trashing Zeller were wanting Charmin-soft Alex Len. If Cho feels he's the guy, then it doesn't matter if you take him at #4 or #9... Zeller is gonna make a lot of people eat crow from this thread.

I'll be surprised if Len even lasts 10 years in the league considering how frail he is and already is dealing with foot issues as a 7 footer. There is a lot of Dirk to Zeller. I'm telling you, this pick was solid. He's going to be a good player.

On the slight possibility he isn't, I believe Cho would lose his job, as it sounds like he had to convince the rest of the FO. But I believe this was the right pick and he has eventual all-star potential.

Charmin soft lead the league in blocks.
