Summerfest is essentially a hockey summer camp for the Hurricanes prospects that is open to the public. I will try to make the event as I live 30 minutes form PNC Arena.

If you are free July 20th and live near PNC and want to meet up with me, feel free to let me know (admission and parking is free). On the 20th the Canes will be doing a prospect scrimmage and a prospect skills competition.

The Canes are releasing the name of one invitee per day.

What time does it start? Ill be in Raleigh covering a 7-7 high school football jamboree. There is expected to be over 50 teams so it will be start early in morning and be all day. If the Canes camp is at night I would like to attend

 

 

ah just looked it starts at noon, I am not sure if I can make that. I will know more of what I am responsible for later this week for the high school stuff

Lindholm was pretty critical of his first time on ice, saying he was "awful." Maybe trying too hard.

Tim Turk, a friend of Kirk Muller's, has been helping coach the Canes' prospects today. He has been a skills coach with the Canadiens.

Ryan Murphy is listed on Canes' camp roster at 5-11 and 176 pounds. Ron Francis says the former first-rounder now weighs 185 pounds.

Also, apparently the Segey Tolchinsky rumors are true, he is a hell of a player but just too small at only 5'9.

Here's a phenomenal article on Mike Chiasson

 

Mike is the son of former Hurricane Steve Chiasson. Steve was killed in a car wreck in North Raleigh in 1999. It was determined that Steve was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed.
