Also just to add, TRADE SKINNER! Get his ass off the second line at least, but preferable trade him.   I'd rather give up Skinner then the 5th overall pick even in a trade back.

Relax on the Skinner talk, he was the second best player on the roster last year until he got hurt... 16 points in 15 games.

Also that Toronto trade is not bad by any means.

Rielly was the 5th pick last year.

JR said as of right now, the plan is to pick at 5.

JR saying that there is a 50-50 chance they trade the pick and if they trade the pick, it's down ton 3 or 4 teams...

I'm guessing the Maple Leafs, Flyers, Sabres, Canucks, and possibly the Rangers.

Yay, as for the Skinner talk. It's coming from somewhere, I'm just happy about it. He's had 3 concussions and hasn't played a good season since his rookie year. I'm not talking about a 16 game stretch, but for a full season. Just one good one and that was 2 years ago. The Hurricanes don't have a line that's fit for him to succeed as he needs the puck too much way too much. It's a waste of other players to put Skinner on a top 2 line.  Also as bad as it is to say this, but another concussion and his career is likely over.

Sportsnet reports the Buffalo #Sabres are the favourite if the Carolina #Hurricanes choose to move the 5th overall pick

Dreger said Carolina has two firm offers and a third nibbling.

Dreger said Toronto is out because the Canes don't want to move down to 21.

I'm guessing Buffalo and Philly are the firm offers, no idea about the third.

Dreger says Carolina will wait until 4th pick to decide what to do. A trade has to be agreed on five minutes before if a pick is involved.

According to one source, there is a report that the Canes will trade the pick to Buffalo unless Seth Jones is available at five.
