my wife saw it tonight, she loves these things. I laugh at them mostly. Liked Cabin in the Woods.

Speaking of horror movies, still waiting on the third installment of The Descent... I know it has to at least be in the works.

 

As for horror movies, I hate them. Even some of the corny ones will manage to scare the sh*t out of me. I'm so jumpy it's ridiculous.

Insidious was so good for the first half then became What Dreams May Come with clouds...I felt it was also similar to Poltergiest 2: creepy preacher, religious cult...then the family is flying in dry ice fighting off cartoon ghosts...

I usually follow and agree with Critic Peter Travers... And he gives a glowing review of The Conjuring.

The wife really liked it and thought it was very scary in an old school way but with a couple of unexpected scares.

Saw it yesterday and I will say it lived up to the hype. I didn't know this was a test, but apparently The Conjuring passes the "basement test".

As soon as I got home I went to my basement to get some laundry, and was sufficiently freaked out and looking over my shoulder.

That's one way I know this was a good horror movie.

I hear there is already a sequel in the works, which is awesome news. I left the theater not only freaked the fug out but wanting to see more of the Warren's demonic escapades.
