It's no where close to being as good as the book.

I didn't expect it to be.

It's been adapted to a tv mini series.

It's actually holding up better tham I expected it to.

I'll finish this mini series, them read the book again....nobody dies charector build up like stephen king.

Under the Dome: Stock up on your supplies now because we're going back under the dome on Monday, June 30. Oh, and there will be two major deaths in the premiere. "No one is safe in this town," executive producer Brian K. Vaughan teased in a short video giving reporters a glimpse of the new season, which will dive into the mystery of what the dome is trying to protect the town from.

Plus, we'll meet several new characters, including Junior's uncle, "who's been hiding out for reasons we find out," and a new teacher who will teach the drama's kids "how to arm and keep Chester's Mill running" and will probably be a rival for Dean Norris' character, Big Jim.  

 

 

Really trying to watch this show, but it is not hooking me in just yet, I have watched 4 episodes and I really don't care if I see anymore.

I want to like this, but it's kind of bad so far.

 

I think the premise is awesome but delivery has been bad.  Way too many cliche characters.  The crazy guy with hostage, cliche.  The drifter who is ex-Military that gets caught up in a situation and has a chance to redeem himself while trying to escape his past deeds, cliche.  The same sex couple feels forced and is from California, it just seems too typical and thrown in just because they felt it was needed (I don't mind the fact there is same sex couples but it doesn't feel realistic).  

 

The show is failing on a very important thing for a new show, and that's that I don't give a crap about anyone on here.  Most are not interesting.  Hank from Breaking Bad is semi-interesting but other than that the rest are boring.   I like the story but the characters/acting are terrible.  

 

I'll give it a couple more watches though, maybe it'll start getting a bit better, but I can't shake the feeling that this would have been much better on HBO or something, or even AMC/FX.  

 

 

Stephen King has always been full of cliche characters, kind of go into any of his books, movies or shows knowing that.
