World War Z Huddle reviews....

I liked it overall... Biggest thing I didn't like was the scene in Jerusalem with the music... I was like if the zombies are going to attack I think the city noise, helicopters, airport would have done it over some people singing lol

To each his own, maybe I over compared it to the book even though I intentionally tried not to. Maybe I compared it too much to TWD? Idk.

It was just disjointed and weird to me and the ending was just bleh...

I sorta agree about the very ending.  However, the more I thought about it afterwards, the more I thought that the ending's style is probably the only thing that paid homage to the older zombie/end-of-civilization movies.

Why should a movie be compared to anything else except what it is?  A story as presented by a certain group of people.  I read a book because I enjoy it, I watch a movie for the same reason.  Not because the movie is the book.  You want a movie that follows the book?  I give you The Stand.  You want a movie that goes beyond the book?  I give you The Shining.  Two very different quality films.

And as odd as this may seem, I detest books of fiction that have illustrations.  Unless it's a children's book.  If I really want to read the story, I'll find a copy without the illustrations.

Ok, so after seeing it, I thought it was a good adaptation of the book. They could only do so much in 2 hours and still have a complete story.

I went into it open minded, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised given the mixed reviews I have heard.

The ending was a little meh, but again, they only had 2 hours. I would be interested in reading the alternate ending, etc... Anyone have a link to that?

Other than the title and zombies how was it anything like the book?

It drew similarities to the story, but was its own adaptation of the book. Without giving up spoilers, it followed the books model, but was its own story all together. Complete with the ending being something the book never discussed. Another thing, there was zero blood and gore, I mean zero....they only once showed a bite mark, and it wasn't gross.

I would watch it again, and will when it come out on bluray. I would def recommend checking it out in the theater, it's worth the money for sure!

Honestly, I am hoping it causes enough buzz for some network to pick it up in a mini series. But I don't think anyone wants to challenge The Walking Dead right now.
