Anyone who thinks homosexuality is a choice needs to talk with one of my closest friends who grew up as a conservative pastor's son in rural eastern North Carolina, went to a Christian school and college, became a youth pastor, and even married a lovely girl before finally coming out after twenty two years of living a lie. What's amazing is that his hellfire preaching father has accepted him and gotten out of ministry while his mother has disowned him.

It's as much a choice as a fat white guy can choose to become Cam Newton.

Is he hurting anything except your views of normal? is he happy? what is normal has changed over the course of history. What should always be applied though is if someone isnt hurting someone, if they are in a consensual adult relationship and if they are contributing to society if they have the means. this is basically what life is about, in general.

His father did the right thing to get out if ministries if he was preaching against it then turns around and accepts it.

I've found that if you ( for the sake of argument) assume that it is a choice, & ask why its wrong, the answers are hilarious.
