It is subjective because you will always have a bias opinion and studies will always be slanted to a persons feelings.  That's how human operates.  Scientist will always be conflicted on how the world was created, experts will always be debating about how the mind works.

so until everyone can come to the same conclusion without any bias then it will be subjective.

That means gravity is subjective too, so try jumping out the window.

you know just as well as anyone that there are always going to be conflicting stories because you are always going to have more than one side.  as long as that happens it will be hard to come to a conclusion.

Here's an article to back that up http://www.stat.ucla.edu/~cochran/pdf/emergingissueslgmentalorientationmatter.pdf

This article in NO WAY justifies your use of the term "functionally retarded" in response to homosexuals.  It is merely stating that back in 1997, some individuals considered homosexuality a psychopathology and it was controversial then.  16 YEARS AGO.  I study this currently.  It is not considered this anymore.  I am telling you, I know the current status of the field.  This is my livelihood.

But his grandfather and father, who probably were still living at that time, was. So, the cause doesn't matter? Why prosecute crimes then, since it already happen, just treat the victim, right? I'm sure slavery didn't have any residual affect on society at all. Robinson was just an individual going through some stuff.

What in the actual fug are you talking about? I never said slavery didn't have ramifications on how blacks were treated generations down the road. I pointed similarities between Robinson's struggle being one of the first African Americans to play baseball and the first openly gay player to play in the NFL.

my point for pointing out the article is that there's still no conclusion, everyone is still using their opinions to make a determination. If you are in the field then you know first hand that the topic is still flying around. Just like medicine they are practicing. Until there's a universal understanding everyone is left to come up with their own opinions since tgeres nothing to refute otherwise.

The wonderful thing about science is that as time passes, and we develop ways to test hypotheses, and learn how things happen.

We develop strong definitive answers to questions through the scientific method.  More has been discovered about the operations of the brain in the last 12 months than all of human history combined.

Scientists operate free of bias.  It is part of the job.  We have systems that detect bias.  We have measures of validity, internal/external consistency, reliability.  People in my field dedicate their lives to developing scientific methods free from bias.  Again, you don't know what you are talking about

This society will never be homophobe-free, zealot-free, bigot-free, know-it-all-free, dumbass-free, or fill-in-the-blank-free. If Rhodes is gay, he has to know that just like he will experience hate from some, he will also experience the love and support of so many others that can identify, or at least empathize, with his situation. He should know that ultimately freeing himself from the bonds of social mores that are neither universally accepted or rejected in this "free" society will allow him to find and develop his own way to his own truth and happiness, as well as light the way for others in a similar situation.

No it is not.  How many APA conferences have you been to this year?  How many states accept your licensure?  You do not know the current state of psychology in regards to the subject.  I am here to tell you that you are wrong.

Homosexuality being considered a psychopathology was controversial in the late 90's.  This view has been discredited through the use of genetics research. You see in the scientific community when a theory is discredited, we drop it and move on.

You labeling of homosexuals as "functionally retarded" is wrong.  Please, just take a second to admit that you are wrong.  You have been confronted on every argument, and are sputtering useless trivial knowledge that is not even relevant to your point anymore.

Why can't some people just admit they are wrong?
