Individual tastes. loved PC gaming when I was younger. stopped caring when I did a lot of traveling... gaming on a laptop? F that.

but someone always has a console. so I shifted over to console gaming. I only enjoy RTS games on PC now. definitely more of a console fan

Yeah with the price of the Xbox one, combined with the cost of games (PC gaming is much cheaper, usually cheaper brand new for games and they also get marked down WAY quicker), doesn't make it THAT much cheaper.  I guess a decade ago maybe, but not now.

That being said, there is a place for both.  I prefer sports on console (usually), and a good deal of those games don't even hit PC (although I have put over 100 hours into nba2k13 on pc using xbox controller to play).  Shooters can be fun on there too, especially if you sit all day at the PC for a job and want to sit on your couch to game.  I wouldn't even try a FPS on PC using controller if you want to be the best you can be.

But I love PC for the ease of access for Indie games.  For strategy and RTS games.  Etc.

the only game that hasn't come to the pc that i've really wanted to play in the last two years is red dead.   most console ports aren't worth wiping my ass with, and that includes all marquis titles pretty much, Halo, CoD, Madden, garbage garbage garbage

i can play fps for free on pc that are better than the slag of poo that is churned out and over-advertised, over-priced, and has paid critics talking about how "groundbreaking" a sequel is that just has some texture tweaks and new filters thrown on top of the same simple ass bullshit

if it weren't for PC, none of you little consolefags would even know what a video game is.

now kiss the ring bitches

someones going full "PC elitest nerd rage"

You know what's the difference is between Console gamers and PC gamers? Nobody cares about PC gamers

You know this, that's why you're coming into a topic about the Xbox one-80, and start spewing your PC elitest bs, because you feel the need to validate yourself as a PC Gamer being relegated to a nitch market that nobody cares about.

I have a computer capable of playing all the latest games, not everybody does.  Consoles are way cheaper than buying a gaming rig.  Not everybody knows how to build one on their own, and most people couldn't be bothered.  Computers are for porn and consoles are for gaming; learn it, live it, love it.

That's the biggest misconception out there right now.  Especially with these latest generation consoles, console gaming is absolutely more expensive.  You have to buy the hardware, pay for games that are more expensive, pay for accounts....they essentially nickle and dime you to death.  There's a reason the industry focuses on consoles - they make a killing off of them.

The concept of a gaming computer is almost all but gone too.  Windows 7 requires hardware accelerated graphics so if you have a machine that can run win7 you can play a huge majority of games out there.  PC gaming isn't about playing the latest game on max settings.

All these arguments are simply outdated.  10 years ago they had some relevance but not any more.
