That's a slippery slope. Even if he is charged with murder, it's still innocent until proven guilty.

I understand that, but the NFL can make a decision like that without a verdict in a case. Big Ben was suspended over his last rape accusations, correct???

From my understanding, laws in MA say being an accessory to murder is the same charge as the shooter.

For once I agree with that law because it might mean that an athlete finally gets treated like a regular civilian.

I always here about how these guys want to be treated like regular people, well here's their chance.

So how many years does Hernandez get knocked off if he wasn't the trigger puller. Or does he claim wrong place, wrong time and settle with the family then proceed to find God...

I'd be willing to bet the two other guys turn states evidence. They put it all on him to reduce their sentence. I doubt (speculation) that they can retain the kind of representation Henandez can pay for.

Because his name wasn't on the police report and the victim kept his mouth shut until he stopped paying.

 

Now there is a lawsuit, hence his name being brought up.

 

Up until then it was a just a shooting with no suspect.

The victim didn't cooperate with police and did not name the shooter at the time.

Supposedly the victim was not cooperating with police, and A-hern's name wasn't in the report.  Maybe the victim was too scared to follow through?

You are right, I forgot about that. It ended up being four games. He was also never formally charged.

I think if Hernandez is indeed charged with murder, the team may suspend him before the league.

The guy who was shot refused to name the shooter to the authorities. Hernandez name didn't come up til he filed the civil suite.

He filed suit in feb but it was dropped due to inconsistencies in the paper work, so it didn't become public, til now.
